Noid FAQ

A noid light should be sufficiently bright to be easily visible in normal daylight. The brightness of a noid light is typically designed to indicate the presence of an electrical signal from the fuel injector circuit. If the noid light is dim or hard to see, it might not be receiving enough power, suggesting a possible issue with the injector circuit or the Powertrain Control Module.

If a noid light remains on continuously and does not flash while the engine is cranking, it indicates that the injector circuit is receiving a constant signal rather than the expected pulsing signal. This can be caused by a short to ground, a malfunctioning engine control module (ECM), or an issue with the wiring harness. Each of these issues can prevent the injector from functioning correctly, leading to engine performance problems.

Domino's stopped using the Noid mascot in 1989 primarily due to a tragic incident involving a mentally ill man named Kenneth Noid, who believed the ads were a personal attack on him. This event led to a negative association with the character. Domino's made the decision to retire the Noid mascot to distance themselves from the unfortunate situation and avoid further complications.
