To restore the Show Desktop icon on Windows XP, follow these steps: 1. Open Notepad and type the following: `[Shell] Command=2 IconFile=explorer.exe,3 [Taskbar] Command=ToggleDesktop`. 2. Save the file as `Show Desktop.scf` on your desktop. 3. Drag and drop the file to the Quick Launch toolbar or right-click the taskbar and select "Toolbars" -> "Quick Launch" then place the file into the opened folder.
