Microsoft has recently revealed that there will be price adjustments and a new tier introduced for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. These changes are set to take effect on July 10, 2024, for new members, and on September 12, 2024, for existing subscribers.
New Tier and Price Adjustments
The new Xbox Game Pass Standard tier will be replacing Xbox Game Pass for Console. However, it is important to note that this new tier will no longer include access to games released on day one. Microsoft has mentioned that these games “may be added to the library at a future date.”

- New Price: $59.99 / £55.99 / €69.99 (12 months)
- Old Price: $49.99 / £49.99 / €59.99 (12 months)
- PC Game Pass
- Day One Games: ✓
- New Price: $11.99 / £9.99 / €11.99
- Old Price: $9.99 / £7.99 / €9.99
- Xbox Game Pass for Console*
- Day One Games: ✓
- Old Price: —
- New Price: $10.99 / £8.99 / €10.99
- Xbox Game Pass Standard
- Day One Games: ✗
- New Price: $14.99 / £??? / €14.99
- Old Price: —
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
- Day One Games: ✓
- New Price: $17.99 / £14.99 / €17.99
- Old Price: $14.99 / £12.99 / €14.99
*Old price remains for existing subscribers with automatic payment renewal enabled. Xbox Game Pass for Console will no longer be available for new members. If you turn off automatic payment renewal and your membership lapses, you will no longer have access to Xbox Game Pass for Console and will need to join one of the other plans.
