As a long-time fan of city-building simulators, I eagerly gave a thumbs-up in advance for the new game, investing high hopes since its announcement on March 6. The anticipation has been a blend of pleasant surprise, reminiscent memories of the original SimCity, and countless hours spent in Cities: Skylines. Despite mixed feelings about some shortcomings, such as optimization issues and bugs, I am ready to dive in now, trusting in the developers’ potential and future enhancements.
Areas for Improvement
However, there are aspects that evoke disappointment and a desire for improvements:
- Grid System: The use of a square grid for buildings disrupts realism.
- Terraforming Flexibility: There is a lack of flexibility in terraforming.
- Street Mechanics: Changes in street mechanics reduce their individualization.
- Traffic Information: Insufficient traffic data diminishes the depth of strategic planning.
As a loyal fan, I hope the developers will listen to feedback and bring future enhancements to the game.
