Hero Games, known for their collaboration with Wuthering Waves developer Kuro Games, has unveiled their latest venture, CrisisX. The game is set in a small US town in the 1990s, where a scientific mishap leads to a deadly infection that transforms humans and animals into horrifying creatures. Players must navigate this dangerous world, forming alliances with other survivors and uncovering their own motivations for survival.

The gameplay trailer showcased at a recent Xbox event may appear a bit rough around the edges, but this is to be expected in the early stages of development. Despite the familiar post-apocalyptic and zombie survival themes, CrisisX’s retro setting sets it apart from similar titles in the genre.

What to Expect?

While CrisisX may not reach the level of immersion seen in Red Dead Redemption 2, there is hope that the final release will deliver a more polished and captivating experience. Attendees of Gamescom 2024 can get a hands-on preview of CrisisX at the Hero Games booth in Hall 10.1.
