Arkadium's Bold Transition into Third-Party Publishing
Browser game specialist Arkadium is embarking on an exciting new chapter as it transitions into a third-party publisher. This strategic move builds upon the foundation laid by its Arkadium for Developers distribution platform, which was launched in April. To further bolster this initiative, the company has introduced a $5 million development fund, aptly named the Arkadium Publishing Fund 1 (APF1).
Inaugural Game Lineup
Arkadium’s inaugural collection of third-party titles features seven engaging games: Multiplayer Chess Online, Ridella, Categories, Room Escape, Element Blocks, Zoo Boom, and an officially-licensed version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. This diverse lineup showcases the company’s commitment to providing a platform for innovative gaming experiences.
“Arkadium is proudly opening its doors for third-party developers to bring their browser-based games to a global audience, backed by substantial resources and an experienced team to support their efforts,” stated Arkadium CEO and co-founder Kenny Rosenblatt. He emphasized the company’s mission to level the playing field for talented developers, offering them best-in-class publishing services alongside the substantial financial backing of the $5 million fund.
Dan Butchko, Arkadium’s director of developer relations, expressed his enthusiasm about the new venture: “I’m thrilled to be able to reveal the seven games that will serve as our inaugural lineup, as they each come from amazing developers who hail from all around the world! Our new Arkadium publishing initiative builds on our ‘Arkadium for Developers’ program with even more support for game developers to succeed on browser.”
As Arkadium positions itself as a leader in the browser-based gaming sector, this new publishing initiative marks a significant step in its journey to create the world’s best gaming platform in collaboration with some of the most innovative and passionate game creators in the industry.
