Developers from Respawn Entertainment have rolled out the ninth update for their action-adventure title, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Among the notable changes introduced with this patch is the removal of the Denuvo technology, which has led to the game appearing on torrent sites.
Performance Enhancements and Upcoming Console Release
However, the update brings more than just the removal of Denuvo. The developers have made significant strides in improving overall performance, optimizing ray tracing capabilities, and addressing a variety of bugs that have affected gameplay.
Looking ahead, the game is set to launch on last-generation consoles, specifically the PS4 and Xbox One, on September 17. Since its release in 2023, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has garnered an 85 score on the Metacritic aggregator. In contrast, the reception on Steam has been less favorable, with only 67 percent of reviews being positive. This disparity in feedback can largely be attributed to the disappointing technical performance experienced by players on PC during the game’s initial launch.
