Get ready to roll out in this all-new adventure for the robots in disguise. The new trailer reveals that the game blends on-track arcade racing with third-person robot combat in a fresh roguelike format.
Iconic Characters and Dynamic Gameplay
In Transformers: Galactic Trials, players can choose their character from a roster of iconic Autobots and Decepticons. They include fan favourites like Bumblebee, Megatron, Elita-1, and Optimus Prime. What’s the mission? Recovering Prime Relics stolen by the evil Nemesis Prime. The game requires players to switch from vehicle mode to bot mode to engage in dynamic combat with bot-on-bot fighting.
Throwing a wrench into the gameplay is the roguelike aspect of players levelling up their characters after challenges. Through this, they unlock new skills and skins based on their success in challenges.
Game Modes and Multiplayer Fun
The game features two main modes: Galactic Trials and Arcade Mode. The story mode, Galactic Trials, offers a single-player experience, while Arcade Mode lets players team up with a friend for a quick race in split-screen multiplayer.
A Milestone for the Franchise
The announcement of Transformers: Galactic Trials marks a busy time for the Transformers franchise, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. CG-animated film Transformers One releases in September and a live-action Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover movie is in the works.
Transformers: Galactic Trials releases on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on 11 October.
