Square Enix Announces PC Version of Final Fantasy XVI
Square Enix has officially announced that the highly anticipated PC version of Final Fantasy XVI will be available on September 17th, 2024. This single-player role-playing game initially made its debut on the PlayStation 5 in June 2023, followed by the release of two downloadable content chapters:
Preorders and Demo Availability
Gamers eager to dive into the world of Final Fantasy XVI can now place their preorders on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. For those looking to enhance their experience, complete editions that include both DLC chapters are also available for preorder. Additionally, a free demo is accessible on both platforms, allowing players to explore the opening section of the game. Notably, any progress made in the demo will seamlessly transfer to the full version upon its release.
Since its initial launch, Square Enix has been proactive in enhancing the game, rolling out a series of updates aimed at fixing bugs and introducing quality-of-life improvements. Among these enhancements is a new “quick complete” function, designed to streamline the process of returning to quest givers, thus enriching the overall gameplay experience.
Producer Naoki Yoshida had previously revealed in September that a PC port of Final Fantasy XVI was in the works, generating excitement among fans who have been eagerly awaiting this announcement. With the release date now set, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be a captivating addition to the franchise.
