Effective June 17, 2024, this new launcher will replace the existing Genshin Impact PC Launcher and will serve as the unified platform for all HoYoverse games, including Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Honkai: Star Rail.
HoYoPlay: Everything You Need to Know
Starting June 17, 2024, HoYoPlay will become the sole supported PC game launcher for HoYoverse games. During the grayscale release period, the availability of each game on HoYoPlay may vary. Players are encouraged to refer to official announcements for specific release times. If a particular game isn't available immediately, users can continue using the old launcher until the transition is complete.
Once the grayscale release is fully completed, gamers will be able to download and launch all three HoYoverse games—Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Honkai: Star Rail—through HoYoPlay. Additionally, all future PC games from HoYoverse will also be accessible via this new platform.
Genshin Impact Launcher
HoYoverse has confirmed that maintenance and support for the Genshin Impact PC Launcher will cease on June 17, 2024. Players will need to update to HoYoPlay to continue enjoying their adventures in Teyvat. All launcher-related functions will be seamlessly handled by HoYoPlay moving forward.
How to Use HoYoPlay
Using HoYoPlay is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly. To download HoYoverse games through HoYoPlay, users should:
- Click the icon in the bottom-left corner within the HoYoPlay UI to enter the Game Hub Page.
- Select the game card for the desired title and enter its details page to find the download or locate resources option.
Once a game is downloaded, a shortcut for the title will appear on the left side of the interface. Clicking this shortcut will quickly switch to the details page of the corresponding game.
When upgrading to HoYoPlay from an old launcher, game resources are automatically linked. This means if game resources are already stored locally, there’s no need to re-download them. For those installing HoYoPlay by other means, game resources can be linked by either automatically scanning or manually selecting file paths.
