Take to the skies
A new survival RPG is poised to capture the imagination of gamers worldwide by seamlessly blending the creative building mechanics of Minecraft with the expansive exploration found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The upcoming title, SkyVerse, promises to deliver a fresh perspective on the RPG and sandbox survival genres, all experienced through a first-person viewpoint.
Developed by Enjoy Studio S.A., SkyVerse invites players to embark on a thrilling adventure alongside friends, where they will construct a base on a flying island-ship. Players will gather resources, craft items, loot treasures, and engage in combat, all while gliding gracefully above the clouds. The game’s synopsis tantalizingly describes a world where “the sky meets the sea,” offering endless horizons filled with new adventures and hidden mysteries.
Set within an open world adorned with floating islands, players can establish their homebases on these colossal landmasses. The creative potential is vast; players can build and decorate their spaces to their heart’s content, and even navigate these islands through the skies. True to RPG traditions, players will encounter dungeons teeming with loot and formidable foes during their explorations. Armed with a sword and shield, adventurers can swiftly clear these challenges and return to their aerial sanctuaries.
One of the standout features of SkyVerse is its fully destructible environment, allowing players the freedom to build wherever and whenever they choose. With its block art style reminiscent of Minecraft and the dungeon-crawling excitement characteristic of Skyrim, SkyVerse is generating considerable anticipation. While a specific release date has yet to be announced, the game is expected to enter early access soon, promising a new frontier for fans of both genres.
