NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW service continues to consistently add new compatible games to its cloud gaming service, expanding the possibilities of what you can play in the cloud. One of the new games this week is Still Wakes the Deep, a new release that dropped on June 18. There’s not always a general theme with each week’s new additions, but this week there is as three out of the four games are narrative-driven and story-rich titles. So sit back, grab some drinks and snacks, and lock in for an experience you’ll be glad you set aside the time for.
Story-driven games are great for single-player game sessions. You should also expect to dump more than a few hours into these. That being said, we’re not talking about incredibly long games. Most of these, you should be able to beat in less than 15 hours. As always you’ll need to own these games on whatever storefront they’re available on. In this case, Steam and Xbox.
Still Wakes the Deep and three more games join GeForce NOW
Still Wakes the Deep is one of the headliners here, seeing as it just released on June 18. It’s available on both Steam and Xbox, so you can own it on Steam or play it with PC Game Pass if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Still Wakes the Deep is an action game filled with psychological horror elements that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. If this is your first time with these kinds of games, it’s highly recommended to wear a pair of headphones to really get immersed in the gameplay.
The game centers around you, an offshore oil rig worker. You must fight to save your crew in the midst of some strange goings-on. Not only will you have to deal with a dangerous storm, but there are seemingly no more exits, making escape less likely. You also have no means to communicate with the outside world. On top of all that, an unknown horror has come aboard the oil rig and is standing between you and survival.
In addition to Still Wakes the Deep, GeForce NOW subscribers can also now play As Dusk Falls and Tell Me Why. Both of these are story-rich games where the choices you make matter. What you do and say at certain points will impact the outcome of the game, as well as how subsequent encounters play out. So make your choices wisely. Maybe take a minute to stop and think things through. Lastly, there’s Skye: The Misty Isles, an open-world RPG with action and building elements. This is the only game that’s not available through PC Game Pass, so you’ll have to pick it up on Steam.
