This development, first unveiled during the Google I/O event in May, has now rolled out to all users across the United States. The feature, known as the “Everything else” pass, enhances the app’s functionality beyond the traditional QR and barcode storage.
AI-Powered Pass Creation
At the heart of this upgrade is an advanced AI system that intelligently captures key information from a photograph of the document. Users can now effortlessly convert various text-based materials, such as car insurance cards or gym memberships, into digital formats. The AI not only identifies the type of pass being created but also retains the essential details, allowing users to view the original photo alongside the digital version.

How to Add a Digital Pass
To add a text-only pass to Google Wallet, users simply need to open the app and select Add to Wallet. A new option labeled Everything else will appear in the menu. After taking a photo of the desired card, users can follow the prompts to create their digital version.
