Strategic Expansion
Streaming music video platform Xite is expanding its reach with the launch of its connected TV app on the Android TV operating system across several new countries. This week, users in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada can now download the Xite app from the Google Play Store, following its earlier debut in the Netherlands and the United States.
“Our partnership with Android TV marks an important step in our ongoing expansion,” stated Xite co-CEO Cees Honig. This collaboration not only builds on the momentum gained from the U.S. launch earlier this year but also enhances entertainment options for viewers, delivering a premium music video experience right into their living rooms.
Xite distinguishes itself by offering a diverse array of music videos through curated playlists, meticulously organized by genres, eras, and visual styles. The platform’s channels are also accessible on free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Fire TV Channels, Amazon Freevee, and Pluto TV in select regions.
User-Centric Features
The Xite TV app empowers music enthusiasts to take control of their viewing experience. Users can curate their own genre-based playlists, skip videos that don’t resonate with them, and pause music videos mid-play. In the United States, the Xite app is available on a variety of platforms, including Comcast’s Xfinity X1, Xumo, Android TV (Google TV), Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Samsung smart TVs.
With this strategic expansion, Xite is poised to enhance its presence in the competitive streaming landscape, offering a unique blend of curated content and user engagement that appeals to a broad audience of music lovers.
