Integrated Graphics Priority
Petersen emphasized Intel's current emphasis on integrated graphics, highlighting Panther Lake processors designed to deliver RTX 4050 mobile-equivalent performance. While capable, Intel's discrete Arc products and the ultrabook-targeted B390 are less focused on path tracing.
He stressed the importance of tackling stutter and frame-pacing issues to enhance immersion. This approach is likened to removing visual artifacts like v-sync problems on phones.
Precompiled Shader Distribution
Intel aims to enhance player experience with Precompiled Shader Distribution. This feature will be available via Arc Control with Panther Lake review drivers for a select set of DirectX 12 games on Steam, supporting Microsoft's efforts.
