Users can easily start a Secret Conversation on Facebook Messenger by following specific steps for secure communication. Initiate by opening the Messenger app and tapping the pencil icon to begin a new chat.

• Select 'Secret' located at the upper-right corner of your screen.
• Pick the contact for the Secret Conversation.
• Compose and send your message, setting an optional timer for automated disappearance.

Security Measures

While messages are encrypted, they can still be screenshotted or shared. To enhance privacy, each conversation is device-specific, necessitating verification of device keys with other users. This ensures the messages do not appear on all devices.
