Terraria is set to release update 1.4.5 in early 2025, featuring significant enhancements to the crafting user interface. Re-Logic, the game's developer, recently confirmed these changes, aiming for a launch as early as January but possibly in December.
Crafting Interface Changes
The centerpiece of this update is the overhaul of the crafting system. The new interface will merge elements from Journey Mode, including research and duplication features, into the primary crafting process. It introduces category tabs and a text search functionality, making it easier and faster for players to locate items. Notably, this update also enhances the Guide's recipe menu.
Additionally, the update improves the 'craft from nearby chests' feature, enabling the use of themed storage boxes without needing to shuffle items constantly. This should significantly streamline the crafting experience.

Although the precise release date remains flexible, Re-Logic's strategy head, Ted 'Loki' Murphy, indicated that submission for final checks is imminent.
