The game Davy-Jones has unveiled a comprehensive update, significantly expanding its gameplay by introducing a second mode featuring a living ship and enhancing first-person combat.
Expanded Gameplay Features
This update doubles the game's scope with the addition of a new mode allowing players to helm a living ship named Abby. Abby, a fusion of wooden hull and cosmic whale, introduces third-person naval gameplay. Players can engage in naval battles, recruit crew members, and experience a dynamic Kraken boss fight. This mode emphasizes strategy and ship defences.
Additionally, first-person combat sees a major overhaul. A five-hit combo system adds depth, while new heavy attacks and rapid strikes diversify play. Gunplay is rebalanced with refined ammo limits and reload mechanics.
Technical Enhancements and Offers
The update introduces a redesigned skill tree for crew recruitment and adds a new codex with tips and tutorials. Notable technical boosts include support for Nvidia frame generation and FSR4, alongside new Steam achievements. However, Parasight notes existing save files face corruption due to these extensive changes.
Davy-Jones is offered at a 20% discount until 2023-12-09, reducing the price to $14.39 or £12. This update offers substantial gameplay and technical enhancements, catering to both new and veteran players.
