Ubisoft Releases Olden Era Demo on Steam

09 Oct 2025

Ubisoft has released the demo for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era on Steam, offering a glimpse into the new modes and factions ahead of the full early access launch in 2026.

New Features and Modes

The Olden Era demo introduces notable innovations in the iconic game series. Notable additions include the Lovecraftian Schism faction and a fresh Arena mode inspired by Hearthstone Battlegrounds. Players can explore all three game modes: Arena, Classic, and Single Hero.

There are four playable factions in the demo: Dungeon, Necropolis, Schism, and Temple. While the current demo supports only single-player mode, Ubisoft has announced that multiplayer capabilities will be included in the complete release.

Market Release and Availability

The game's demo launch is creating excitement among fans, with early previews from Gamescom 2025 praising its graphics and gameplay. Despite a delay in the full game's launch, the demo serves to maintain interest before its comprehensive early access debut in 2026.

Ubisoft is leveraging platforms like Steam to reach a broad audience, and the initial response has been positive, positioning Olden Era as a promising installment in the beloved series.
