Strange Scaffold Unveils Clickolding: An Unconventional Incremental Narrative Game

27 Jun 2024

Strange Scaffold, known for its unique and intriguing games such as An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs and El Paso Elsewhere, has unveiled its newest project: Clickolding. This dark incremental narrative game involves thumbing a tally counter to appease a mysterious masked figure in your hotel room.

Developed in collaboration with Outersloth, a funding program for indie developers established by Innersloth, Clickolding promises to be another unconventional and thought-provoking addition to Strange Scaffold’s portfolio.

Breaking Boundaries with Unconventional Approaches

The studio’s previous releases, like Life Eater and I Am Your Beast, have garnered praise for their bold storytelling and innovative gameplay. With Clickolding, Strange Scaffold aims to challenge traditional gaming conventions and push boundaries in the industry.

According to studio head Xalavier Nelson Jr., Clickolding is not a typical game that fits neatly into a specific genre or category. Instead, it offers a unique and unsettling experience that challenges players to explore new and uncomfortable themes.

While some may question the nature of Clickolding, Nelson assures that it is not a game centered around sex or horror, but rather a complex and thought-provoking journey that defies expectations.

A Mysterious Journey Awaits

Set to launch on Steam on July 16, Clickolding is sure to captivate players with its unconventional approach and immersive storytelling. Stay tuned for more updates on this intriguing new release from Strange Scaffold.
