Samsung Enhances Bixby with Redesigned UI

14 Oct 2025

Samsung is set to update its in-house AI assistant, Bixby, as leaked test files for One UI 8.5 reveal a redesigned pop-up bar for Galaxy devices.

Interface Updates

Leaked files from SamMobile show a revamped Bixby pop-up bar featuring a rolling blue and purple gradient glow compatible with both light and dark modes. The new look is reported to be simpler and cleaner, resembling Google's assistant interface. A waveform on the right signifies when Bixby is actively listening, enhancing user interaction.

AI and Automation Enhancements

Samsung continues to enhance Bixby with generative AI capabilities. Recent developments include improved hands-free functionality and the ability to execute complex multi-step tasks. These upgrades are inspired by large language models (LLMs) and aim to improve Bixby's automation and ecosystem control features. Although the leaked firmware (S938BXXU6CYJ7, Android 16) is in an early development stage, further enhancements are expected.
