While the system's accuracy might still face challenges, Instagram has put measures in place to ensure flexibility. If an adult is mistakenly classified as a teen, reverting the settings is straightforward. Users can correct their age, restoring their profile to its previous setup without loss of features or data.

Notifications will be sent to Canadian parents with tips and strategies co-developed with pediatric psychologist Dr. Ann-Louise Lockhart. Instagram's initiative is backed by promising statistics: over 54 million teens worldwide already utilize Teen Accounts. Furthermore, 97% of users between the ages of 13 and 15 have maintained the protective settings, indicating a strong acceptance. In surveys, over 90% of parents expressed that the safeguards have been beneficial, highlighting the system's value in enhancing trust and safety online.
Though the social media giant acknowledges the ongoing difficulties associated with verifying age online, Instagram remains committed to improving its methodologies.
