Black Ice, in the words of its developer, is the result of mixing the gameplay of Borderlands with the aesthetic of Tron. And that's exactly it: a first-person role-playing and shooting game where you have to hack computer systems and beat back enemies in equal measures. Gameplay is simple: you hack systems according to your level, with the goal of annihilating any and all viruses living inside. To do that, you'll need to make use of a good arsenal of weapons and, above all, your multiple abilities. The more enemies you kill, the more experience you earn - experience that you can use to raise your character's level. Like in any RPG, when you gain levels you can choose which abilities and attributes you want to improve. It's an important decision, and one that will determine your character's style. Black Ice is set in an open world with a cyberpunk aesthetic, where you need to try to hack any system that you can see. Of course, getting yourself involved with a system that's above your pay grade will almost certainly result in your death. Black Ice is an excellent first-person action and role-playing game, with surprisingly deep gameplay. And in addition to everything else, it has great graphics and a fantastic (Tron-styled) soundtrack.
