Bubble Dock

Bubble Dock is a tool that puts a floating bar on your computer just like the classic Mac dock, where you can access your most-used programs and applications with just one click. There's a huge array of customization options available: besides options to drag any file, shortcut, or folder that you want into the bar, you can also download widgets directly from the official website to the program. One of the application's best features, however, is that you can use it to view notifications from YouTube, Facebook, and other social networks.
