Donald Dowell and the Ghost of Barker Manor is a point and click graphic adventure where you play as an 80 year old man who, after spending some time retired, decides to go back to work. However, the only job that he finds is that of a 'ghostbuster' and investigator of the occult. Without thinking twice, Donald launches himself into an adventure with a haunted mansion where all kinds of bizarre things are happening. Donald Dowell and the Ghost of Barker Manor is a traditional graphic adventure that has clearly been inspired by classic games from Sierra and Lucas Arts. Playing the game is very simple: you can talk to tons of different characters, collect objects, explore the scenery, and, of course, solve different puzzles. Everything combines to advance the plot. One thing that really makes Donald Dowell and the Ghost of Barker Manor stand out is its graphic design. All of the images in the game were painted by hand, with very attractive, polished results.
