MadMACs, whose name makes us remember Mel Gibson's famous film is a tool that lets you randomly change a MAC's address and your computer's host name. Because the information that is stored on the DHCP server does not appear on the MAC´s true address but on the fictitious one, it makes this application a very useful tool for maintaining privacy on a local network. MadMacs can modify the addresses belonging to any network device, either wireless or Ethernet. For MadMacs to generate a random host name just include a file called dic.txt in the directory where the program is located. The application comes with an example.
