Maxima

Maxima is a project created through the Macsyma program, an algebra program created by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which has become a a leader in its field and has provided the base for applications such as Mathematica and Maple. Among the operations supported by Maxima are differentiation, integration, Taylor series expansion, Laplace transforms, ordinary differential equations, systems of linear equations and vectors, matrices and tensors. Given the large number of functions included by default in the program, it is very recomendabe have on hand the programme documentation, which is also available in Spanish. Maxima features the wxMaxima GUI, which can display graphical representations of the functions you use in the program.
