MTBFreeride is a mountain biking simulator that offers realistic physics, a feature which distinguishes it from the many games of its type that seem to be unconcerned with the fact that the user can do impossible and unrealistic moves such as huge jumps. Of course, it's possible to do incredible jumps in MTBFreeride as well, but in order to do them, the necessary forces need to be taken into consideration just like in the real world. To perform a successful jump, you need to be going at the appropriate speed, take the jump the right way, and most importantly: know how to land! Also unlike many other bicycle-centered video games, MTBFreeride is experienced from a first person perspective. Due to this fact, the realness of the game is spectacular. With the trees whizzing by as you fly down the trail, the game is almost realistic enough to make you feel the wind in your hair! The game can be played in single-player mode against other bikers controlled by the computer as well as in multiplayer mode against up to four friends.
