Open Skipper is a lite application that features in only one window all navigation data associated to the program (This time we talk about maritime navigation) Its a free application for receiving, processing, displaying and sharing messages generated by boat instruments. The program supports the followning devices: NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 (N2k), AIS and GPS. Furthermore, it can also interpret data from online services that have been previously linked. Open Skipper shows real time weather conditions having to do with wind stregth, wind direction, swell,... Although Open Skipper is focused on certain people, it is a program from sailers to sailers, so its productivity is good enough.
