In the platform game Paroxysm, you control an unknown man who needs to escape a labyrinth full of all kinds of mortal traps. Gameplay is a curious mix between the classic Price of Persia and the more modern Super Meat Boy, which also shares this game's penchant for inoffensive and even comical gore. Paroxysm can get to be, just like the two games mentioned above, extremely complicated. Luckily, there are various levels of difficulty ranging from very easy to truly frustrating: in the highest level of difficulty, you only have one life and if you die, it's game over. Paroxysm is an entertaining title that is sure to please fans of difficult platform games with its offering of a heavy dose of fun that will last many hours.
