SP-Hubris is, in the words of its developer, 'an experiment in beauty and color' turned into a video game. As such, it may be a bit boring as you never do anything other than walk. Luckily, you'll soon find that the 'appeal' of the game lies precisely in exploring and discovering the setting. The environment through which you move in the first person is the game's real protagonist, which will show you a series of impossible structures of astounding architectural beauty. The walking isn't exactly fun, but seeing everything the game has to offer does turn out to be amazing. One of the developer's inspirations was Shadow of the Colossus, hence, according to him, the game's overwhelming scale. In practice, though, the game is rather more reminiscent of ICO, which is certainly very good. SP-Hubris is a peculiar experiment that you'll enjoy if you like trying new things. You won't find impossible jumps, shooting, or top-speed races, but you'll enjoy exploration and beauty.
