Splatterhouse 3D is a mod for Doom II that lets you transform the legendary Id Software game into a three-dimensional and first-person version of the 1988 classic, Splatterhouse. This means that you will be able to fight off endless waves of demons and other aberrations with your fists, your legs, a baseball bat, and a whole lot of bloodlust. As with many Doom II mods, in order to play Splatterhouse 3D correctly, you will need to have the original game files and the free mod manager GZDoom installed on your PC. If you have fulfilled these two requirements, you will only have to unzip the splat3dmus.pk3 file in a new folder, and drag it to the GZDoom executable. And that's it, with that you can start playing. All your saved games will be stored in the same folder. Splatterhouse 3D offers you three different episodes, each comprised of six levels, making a total of eighteen different levels, full of demons that want to halt your progress. The three episodes of the game are, in order, Breakup from Hell, The Gate of Orpheus and Fall of the House of Taylor. Each one has a different setting, its own final bosses and a few more surprises. Ideally, they should be played in order, but it is not strictly necessary. One of the most fun aspects of Splatterhouse 3D is the wide variety of new enemies you will have to face. Some of the game's weapons, such as the shotgun or the chainsaw, will ring a bell if you're a fan of Doom; but the enemies are completely new. You will be able to slaughter more than a dozen horrifying creatures, from despicable ghouls that crawl towards you, to silent specters capable of surprising you in any situation. Many of these monsters, moreover, are clearly inspired by the Lovecraft Myths. Download Splatterhouse 3D to enjoy the Splatterhouse saga like never before: from a first-person perspective and in fully 3D settings. This is an outstanding mod that has an extensive and fun campaign mode, and a great variety of enemies that will delight fans of this saga. The game also comes with a PDF instruction manual that you can find inside the compressed file itself.
