Transcriber is an interesting tool to transcribe conversations easily and quickly (in digital format). The program's interface is not as intuitive as you might hope, which is understandable when you consider the amount of features available. However, as you get used to it (there isa user guide in the support tab) you can begin to transcribe quickly. Transcriber is compatible with a wide range of audio formats, such as: AU, WAV, SND, SPH, GIS, SD, SMP, AIFF, MP3 and OGG. You can also import other text formats to work on directly. Transcriber is a tool created for a very specific user group. However, its effectiveness, and being free, makes it an excellent choice for anyone wanting to transcribe a text.
