Vocabilis is a language-learning application with flashcards with common words for you to memorize. The way it works is as simple as selecting the lessons you want to learn from a huge selection of flashcards containing words in several languages, then you try to memorize them. The program will show you the words, along with a text-to-voice generator to read the flashcard to you. You'll have to remember the translation of each word and tick whether you got it right or wrong. You can select as many lessons as you want and the program will set the interval between them, so, for instance, you'll only have to memorize 20 flashcards in 20 minutes. Vocabilis also includes a great editor that lets you create your own flashcards. You can use this option to pair a foreign language with your native language if you're not a native English speaker.
