It was Sierra who took up the challenge, and now it is here; WAR OF THE RING, the first real-time strategy game (warcraft style) that’s based on JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. It includes all of the creatures, characters, and landscapes form the original novels! You just need to choose one of the opposing sides (will it be the forces of good, or will you succumb to Sauron's power?) and create your armies. The game is played in a 3D environment with an aerial view, which will require a good computer with an adequate video card. The experience is definitely worth it, as you'll enjoy one of the best soundtracks ever created for a game, as well as its Middle Earth setting. Some of its features: Two single player campaigns based on the plot: play as either the heroic Free Peoples of Middle Earth or as Sauron's diabolic minions. Take part in the most important battles and events of Middle Earth, such as the Battle of Helms Deep. Feel the effects of good and evil. The terrain is modified when the Free People's forces fight the corruption that is spread by Sauron's minions as they conquer Middle Earth. Amazing weather and lighting effects. The wind sweeps over plains and clouds darken the land, turning a bright and sunny day into a thunderstorm. Lead the Free Peoples of Middle Earth, such as Dwarves, Elves, and Humans. Head Sauron’s minions, including Orcs, Goblins and Trolls. Use amazing skills on the battlefield.
