Windows Pager addss a useful system of virtual desktops to the system tray that allow you to have several desktops and distribute the applications in them. The applications can be moved from one desktop to another. It's easy, you only have to select the window in Windows Pager and pressing Ctrl while you drag and drop it. Note that each icon in the system tray features the applications running on them. When you'll want to change and access a different desktop, just click on its preview icon or use the hotkeys Ctrl + number of the virtual desktop. Finally, it will also add some new options to the right-click menu.

The need to protect yourself from the many threats on the web right now has given rise to a new breed of security program. This one comes straight out of the Microsoft stable. It is called Windows Live OneCare and comprises various different applications that, together, offer an effective defence against viruses, worms and other intruders. There is also the chance to create security backups to improve your machines performance. There are three separate analysis modes to protect your system against viruses: quick, complete and personalized. The Security backup tool will back up your system to another device separate to your hard drive, preferably a DVD or USB key drive. Finally, the ’Settings’ tool deletes unnecessary files, defrags the hard drive, searches for viruses and other unwanted programmes, searches for files to make backups and finds security updates. The app demonstrates the new shift in policy from Microsoft, as the programs are free, but the services offered aren´t, which have to be paid for to enjoy.

Wikirunner is an unusual game where you can show how fast you're able to navigate through one of the most famous websites in the world, Wikipedia. In Wikirunner there are two players: a chaser and a runner. The chaser has to reach the same page the runner is on using the internal links of every Wikipedia article. The runner has to escape the chaser by using the internal links as well. Seems simple, right? In practice, it's not easy at all. Aside from the difficulty of finding the right link in every moment, you also have to take into account the time. If you take too long to find a link that can lead you to the runner, the other player could click on a link that's completely different from the ones you're following, making you start over from scratch. It should be noted that Wikirunner uses only the English version of Wikipedia. So if English isn't your first language, you might find the game a bit too difficult.
