BloodRayne is a third-person action game where you play Rayne, a special vampire agent who travels around the world to carry out different missions murdering people. During your missions – which will take you to distant locations as varied as Nazi Germany, the outskirts of Louisiana, and Argentina – you'll have to fight dozens of enemies, such as Axis soldiers, mutants, supernatural creatures, or other vampires. The combat system, which is probably the best thing about the game, permanently encourages you to make spectacular moves to fight your enemies. Combining impossible somersaults, vampiric techniques, and sharp weapons, you can slash the enemy into pieces in a matter of seconds. BloodRayne is an entertaining title that, despite having been released a few years ago, still keeps the spark that made it stand out back in 2003.

Trying to kill all those enemies taking advantage of a vast weaponry to annihilate them. Those scenarios will remind the ones of Unreal or Quake, but you can design your own ones thanks to the level editor you'll find in it. Red Eclipse is a funny and frenetic game which, although featuring old graphics will give you hours of fun and it's totally free.

Planetside 2 is a multiplayer, first-person shooter game in which players can participate in battles at an unprecedented scale not commonly seen among games of its type. One of the key elements of Planetside 2 is the conflict that exists between the three major empires within the game: The Terran Republic, The New Conglomerate, and the Vanu Sovereignty. The different territories of the galaxy are divided among these three empires, which is the motive behind each player for fighting. That being said, fighting for a territory is much more than running in the direction of the enemy with a plasma rifle. To play a meaningful role, and do it well, you will have to choose a character class that molds to your and your team's characteristics, and upgrade him to gain access to new skills. Of course, it's even more important to know when to use the different vehicles in the game, which can turn the chaotic action of Planetside 2 into a space simulator in a matter of seconds. Visually, Planetside 2 isn't the best that you can get on a PC today, but it is normal to a degree if you keep in mind the size of the levels and the quality of the character models. The special effects, on the other hand, are spectacular. Planetside 2 is an outstanding online shooter game whose massive role playing game characteristics give it a truly unique touch. The conflict between the three empires will keep you constantly moving while trying to mercilessly finish your enemies.

Crimelife 3 is a three-dimensional open world action game directly inspired by the excellent GTA III. You take control of a mysterious character who, when faced with an enormous city to explore, decides to do whatever he pleases on the street. At the beginning of the adventure, you'll have a series of simple missions to complete, like picking up your character's father's car, which is parked in a nearby parking lot, or going to find your childhood friend and bring him home. Other missions are scattered around the map, and you just need to get yourself in the vicinity of each to start them. However, what really makes Crimelife 3 fun isn't so much completing the missions as it is wandering around the city doing what you please. Just like in Grand Theft Auto, you can explore all corners of the city... you can visit the beach, steal cars and motorcycles, buy pistols and machine guns, shoot at police, get in the middle of a gang war, etc. Best of all, your protagonist has a grappling hook pistol like Rico Rodriguez in Just Cause, which you can use to hijack any car, even if it's moving. Crimelife 3 is a fun GTA clone that, though it may not be as big or as good as San Andreas, still deserves a lot of credit. After all, Crimelife 3 was developed but just one man, and the result is truly spectacular.

Quest Fighter is a 2D fighting game starring some of the most popular graphic adventure characters of all time. We're talking about characters like Indiana Jones, Guybrush Threepwood, Roger Wilco, and Larry himself. Each character has their own unique moves that include four special attacks, like Indiana Jones' whip, Guybrush's punch, or the Purple Tentacle's bite (Day of the Tentacle). You can play Quest Fighter in single player mode (against the computer with three difficulty levels), or against another player (using the same keyboard). The graphics are especially excellent because both the characters and levels are taken from their original games. Some of them are very emblematic and will make you shed a tear out of nostalgia. Quest Fighter isn't the best fighting game, but it does brings back more memories than most other free independent games.

In Plain Sight is an action and stealth game where you play a character whose son has been kidnapped from the hospital where he was checked in. A mysterious phone calls gives you the first clue in your search for him. From that point on, your mission is to infiltrate an enemy base, which is protected by lots of soldiers, security cameras, mechanized devices ... and scientists. Your most important move consists of knocking down enemies (from behind), and then disguising with their outfits. Like this you can remain unseen in most situations, although you still have to be careful with some of the electronic devices. The most important thing, on the other hand, is to avoid the enemy's field of vision while you hack computers, which is another important part of the game. In Plain Sight is an entertaining stealth game with great graphics. The biggest letdown is that it's too short: just 20 minutes.

Wolfram is a first-person shooter directly inspired by Wolfenstein 3D, where you will control a Polish prisoner who, after killing his cell guard, must escape a Nazi prison and fortress. The game's levels and the adventure itself are identical to Wolfenstein 3D. Even the distribution of the enemies and secret rooms is exactly the same. In those secret rooms, like the waiting room, you'll find money, medicine, weapons, and ammunition. The main difference between Wolfram and its original (aside from graphics, that is) is the addition of iron sights. In other words, now you can use your mouse's right-click to aim your weapon through crosshairs. That makes head shots possible. Wolfram is an excellent first-person shooter which creates a new, modern experience from the Wolfenstein base. And the game uses an engine specially created for the occasion, capable of displaying spectacular graphics and physics.

Yes, the Nazis are extreme. Imagine that. Wolfenstein - Machines of War is a first-person shooter with classic style. Now you can enjoy a new story with the same gameplay you know and love.

Sango Fighter 2 is a two-dimensional fighting game where you can choose from more than a dozen characters from the Dynasty Warriors franchise to fight in one-on-one battles. In Sango Fighter 2, besides fighting one-on-one, you can also play a complex campaign mode where you can choose one of the generals from an army and set out to conquer territory. In this mode, you can choose which regions to attack with which soldiers. Once you've made your decision, of course, you'll have to fight the enemy troops for control of cities just as you would in a normal battle. To play well, you'll have to master the normal and special attacks of each of the 16 different characters. You can also find some 'power ups' to improve your chances while fighting against hordes of enemies. The main game mode in Super Mario Brawl is its story mode, but when you beat it you can also play in arcade mode and in the Koopa Arena. You can play all of them, of course, both alone as Mario, or in coop with Luigi. The story mode in Super Mario Brawl contains 32 levels divided into eight distinctive worlds from the Mario games. Super Mario Brawl is a good beat'em up with some of the most personable and familiar characters in the entire game industry, in this case starring in a completely different game from the original.

Robocraft is a 3D action game where players can build their own robot/war machine/vehicle and navigate it through an enormous world where it has to fight hundreds of other players online. In Robocraft, you can play in two very different modes: construction mode and combat mode. In the first, players create their own robot using blocks (the way you build is very similar to Minecraft). But, in order to use certain blocks, you first have to unlock them from the technology tree, which you can only do by playing. Once you've created your war machine (which could be a jeep with a machine gun, an armored jet with lasers, or even a Bart Simpson robot) you can start fighting. During combat, players can move themselves in any direction they want through immense levels while trying to destroy the players that appear on the screen. It's very important to keep in mind that getting hit by a weapon will cause actual damage to the structure of your robot. In other words, if someone hits your engine, it's possible that your vehicle will be immobilized. Likewise, if you can hit knock an enemy's weapon out of its hands, you can leave him defenseless. Robocraft is a fun multiplayer action game that's unique and free to download. And that's a strange combination nowadays.

CountryCide is a first-person action-horror game that also serves as a prequel to Trench Foot, another game by the same developers. Your objective in this brief but intense horror adventure set in the outskirts of a city is to discover a group of cultists who, apparently, are worshipping and trying to summon an unholy creature, capable of bringing doom to Earth. CountryCide is a mod for Doom II and, as such, is very easy to run. All you have to do is unzip the compressed file, which is in .pk3 format, in any folder. After that, you just have to drag this file to the GZDoom executable (the Doom mod manager par excellence). And that's it. The only thing you should keep in mind is that, as always, you will need to have the original Doom II or Ultimate Doom files on your PC for the game to work correctly. The story of CountryCide places you in the shoes of a Templar who goes to investigate a farm on the outskirts of a city. From the very beginning, you will notice that something is not right. However, instead of challenging you with monsters and enemies from the first minute, the game manages to slowly build an oppressive atmosphere that will slowly make your hair stand on end. You will have to go through gloomy forests, neglected mansions and infected sewers. And you will always, always need all five senses focused on the game. One of the strengths of CountryCide is how it manages to deftly switch between quiet moments of tension and outbursts of action filled with gunfire and screaming. When the action does come, it comes in full force. The enemies in CountryCide are relentless and, if you take your eye off the ball for even a second, they will grab you and finish you off before you can even pull the trigger. This level of difficulty helps considerably to raise the overall tension of a game that, in itself, manages to keep you on the edge of your seat. Download CountryCide and enjoy an excellent first-person horror game that will take you approximately one hour. Best of all, while the game is good in itself, it's really just the prequel to a much bigger title: Trench Foot, in which you'll discover much more information about the whole background of this terrifying adventure.

Golden Axe Returns is a beat'em up developed with OpenBOR that is set in the Golden Axe universe. The game's story takes place between the events of the third installment of the saga and the brilliant Revenge of Death Adder, a sequel released in 1992 exclusively for arcade machines. In the original Golden Axe, there were only three characters to choose from: Ax, the warrior; Gilius, the dwarf; and Tyris, the Amazon. In Golden Axe Returns, however, you can choose from a dozen different heroes. The three characters from the original game are joined by the full cast of Golden Axe III and Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder, including Chronos, the panther, and Proud, the giant. Each character, of course, has their own skills, attributes, and special attacks. As is common among games developed with OpenBOR, Golden Axe Returns allows up to four players to play simultaneously. Anyone who has ever played any of the Golden Axe titles will know that it is best to play at least in a pair, as the difficulty level can be pretty high in some areas. After all, there are levels in the game where you will have to face half a dozen enemies at the same time. In those cases, you will need help, and this is where your friends come in. Golden Axe is undoubtedly one of the best-known beat'em up franchises in history. And Golden Axe Returns offers a gameplay experience that is virtually identical to that of the other titles in the series. Normally, you will have to advance from the left to the right of the screen, defeating all the enemies that get in your way. You can take away their weapons, potions, and even their mounts. In fact, it is highly recommended to steal mounts from enemies, as they will not only allow you to make much more powerful attacks but will also absorb some of the damage you receive. Download Golden Axe Returns to enjoy an outstanding action game. Despite being a fan game, the game could very well pass for an official release, especially if you take into account that the storyline is masterfully integrated into the canon of the saga. This is a real treat for fans of the genre in general and the Golden Axe franchise in particular.

The game has an extensive story mode divided into 4 chapters, where you can relive some of the most popular comic book sagas. As if this were not enough content, you can also enjoy several additional game modes. In Justice League Legacy, you can control a whopping 72 different characters, including all the best-known superheroes from the DC universe. That means you can play with Batman, Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, and many, many more. In addition, each superhero has several different costumes. As you might expect, each and every character in the game has their own special attacks and moves. Flash, for example, can climb walls thanks to his super speed, while Batman can use his grapple gun. In Justice League Legacy, you will not only find a whole cast of characters but also a great number of game modes. For starters, you can enjoy four very extensive chapters, each inspired by one of DC's most famous sagas. These chapters are: the Death of Superman, the Invasion of Darkseid, Zero Hour, and the Crisis on Infinite Earths. In addition to these four main campaigns, in which you will have to face exclusive enemies and bosses, the game has several additional modes, such as Alien Vs Predator, whose objective is to survive against endless hordes of xenomorphs. As is the tradition in the games developed with OpenBOR, in Justice League Legacy, you will be able to play both alone and in local co-op with friends. The game is perfectly enjoyable solo and, in general, is not so difficult that it is impossible to finish if you are alone. However, like all beat'em up games, it is much more enjoyable with friends. Up to three players can play any of the four campaigns simultaneously. This is the only way you can form the real Justice League. Download Justice League Legacy and enjoy an absolutely outstanding beat 'em up, thanks to which you can relive some of the most epic moments in DC history. The game also has exceptional pixel art, with some character models that are a real treat. Undoubtedly, it is an unbeatable gift for DC fans.

PainTown offers several game modes: Adventure for one or two players in cooperative mode, battle mode or multiplayer mode in local network.

Cube, a first person action game that will impress you for its speed. It's a game that will remind you of Quake... a lot. You will have quite the extensive weapons arsenal that will help you to finish off different enemies that will make your journey on the screen a frenetic adventure and certainly difficult in some cases... that's the good thing: new challenges where you can overcome yourself. In certain occasions you will encounter a legion of 12 opponents to defeat, so you will have to be careful not to waste ammunition, because punching... There's no discussion. The game works perfectly online. Completely recommendable.

Super Vampire Ninja Zero is a fighting game in which you will be at the controls of Mina, a charming but deadly ninja,and you will have to go face to face with dozens of enemies of all shapes and colors. The gameplay is fun and gives rise to many combinations of keys. Mina may be jumping, making fast and strong attacks, special moves, fast slides and blocks. Furthermore, if you can string together several consecutive attacks, you can make combos which will make more damage. The normal gameplay is to stay on stage and face the enemies that are coming in waves, becoming more and more difficult. Super Vampire Ninja Zero is fun and has very nice graphics that fit perfectly with the concept of the game. It is also a download time of less than 6 Mb, so it will not take even a couple of minutes to download and start playing.

AWOL is a two dimensional action game in which you are in control of a tank that at any moment is able to become a plane and fly. ¿Sounds fun? It is. The game is easy to play. With your mouse you fire a canon, and with the arrow keys you can speed up and decide how steep the road is. The game itself is fairly short and quite simple. It only has one level of play. The object is o advance as far as possible by eliminating all the enemies that come out ahead. Soldiers, tanks and even other planes that drop bombs try to stop you. With simple graphics, this game has a nice appearance that uses contrast between the background and the characters that are in the foreground. AWOL is a short game which will keep you occupied for a good time and no more, but because the game is fun and easy to play, it is well worth a try.

X-Men Second Coming is a 1-v-1 two-dimensional fighting game that uses the MUGEN engine to recreate spectacular combats between the most famous characters in Marvel's X-Men. There are more than twenty playable characters to choose from, the majority of them edited versions of characters from classic Capcom fighting games like X-Men: Children of the Atom or X-Men vs Street fighter, although many have been created from scratch or by using partial graphics from other games. So, in addition to finding familiar characters like Wolverine, Magneto, Cyclops, and Storm, you can also play with characters that have not been used in games like this, including Beast, Namor, and Bishop. X-Men Second Coming is based in an important era during the X-Men timeline: between March and July of 2010, when the characters related with the franchise experienced a crossover, in which all characters were affected by a common problem that had to do with the appearance of a messiah who would restore the mutants to their former glory after having been at the brink of extinction. X-Men Second Coming is an outstanding fighting game, possibly the best MUGEN game out there using the franchise characters. It's absolutely unmissable for both fans of fighting games as well as fans of the comics.

Gunpoint is an action and platform game in which you play the role of a private detective equipped with a very special pair of pants which let him make take enormous leaps without any damages from the falls. Using this ability (and a couple other aces up his sleeve), the lead character must take a series of jobs in which the objective will usually be to infiltrate certain buildings to get information, hack terminals, or steal an object. But of course, buildings are usually protected by guards, cameras, and other security measures so you’ll have to be very careful during your incursions as you can die from just one gunshot. One of Gunpoint’s strengths is the sheer amount of possibilities you have when completing each level. You can try to avid being seen by a guard and make it look like you were never there... or punch-kill each and every agent. It’s up to you. Gunpoint is a very fun game that perfectly combines platforms, stealth and action. At times it reminds you of the class free game Trilby: The Art of Theft (also available on Uptodown), only with a more fluid and dynamic style.

The Black Heart is a two-dimensional fighting game where players can choose between a cast of six different characters to face off against evil beings in a fight to the death. Although six characters may not seem like a lot, you'll soon find that each character in The Black Heart is totally unique. As opposed to other games of this type, in The Black Heart mastering the style of each one is a real challenge. For example, using the special attacks of Shar-Makai, a terrible worm with teeth, is not at all similar to using those of Ananzi, the daughter of the prince of the 'other world'. Each one has their own hit combinations and specialties. As you might expect from a fighting game, in The Black Heart players can play alone or against a friend on the same computer. The only thing you need is two controllers, or to be willing to squeeze together on the same keyboard. The Black Heart is a truly unique fighting game. From its dark and gloomy atmosphere to its peculiar storyline and visual style and the vast differences between characters, it's clear that we're dealing with a tremendously entertaining game.

SUPERHOTline Miami is an action game with a bird's eye perspective that combines the gameplay of two independently brilliant games: SUPERHOT and Hotline Miami. And considering that in both your objective is to shoot at everything that moves, the combo is an excellent one. The gameplay in SUPERHOTline Miami uses SUPERHOT's basic gameplay (time goes super slowly when you stop), adapted to the overhead perspective of Hotline Miami. You have to kill all the enemies in each level using your fists, handguns, and shotguns, without them managing to shoot you. The controls are really simple: the AWSD keys are used to move your character around, left-click to shoot, and right-click to pick up a weapon. Keep in mind that each weapon has a limited amount of ammunition and a set rate of fire. SUPERHOTline Miami is a direct and fun action game. The graphics are quite rough, but the experience is brilliant. The only problem is that it's super short.

Marvel Infinity War is a free fangame set in the Marvel universe. It's developed using the OpenBOR engine and though it uses both visual and audio resources from games for 16-bit consoles, a large part of the content is created completely from scratch. There are a whopping 78 different characters to select from several different licenses: the Avengers, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, and even the Netflix series The Defenders. Story mode lets you advance through different locations in the adventure inspired by The Infinity War, a direct sequel to the popular Infinity Gauntlet saga starring Thanos and the six Infinity Gems. Besides story mode, Marvel Infinity War includes endless game modes – remakes of iconic titles like Captain America and the Avengers, for example, and Spiderman Maximum Carnage – as well as a training mode in the danger saga and a 'boss rush' mode. It even includes the complete Marvel First Alliance video game from the developer himself, which is also available on Uptodown. Marvel Infinity War is a classic beat'em up that's has nothing to envy paid games, letting you enjoy tons of content and even play with up to four players simultaneously.

Dragon Ball Z Tournament is a 2D fighting game developed with the OpenBOR engine, in which you can play as some of the legendary characters from the Dragon Ball saga. Unlike what many other similar titles try to do, the goal of this game is not to place a host of characters in random battles but to situate only a very select handful of characters in the most iconic moments of the anime. In Dragon Ball Z Tournament, you will be able to choose between three different characters: Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo. Each character has their own special moves and abilities, although they are all done with the same key combinations, so you will have no problem learning their moves. To perform the special attack, you must press down, forward, and attack when you have the Ki bar charged. If you press down, forward, and the recharge button, you will transform into a more powerful version of the character you have chosen. One fun thing about these transformations is that when you activate them, a short video scene from the anime will appear. When you start playing Dragon Ball Z Tournament, you will only have two game modes: Tournament Mode and Challenge Mode. In both modes, the objective is to defeat your main enemy, although, in Challenge Mode, you will also have to face smaller enemies that will harass you at all times. Once you finish the Tournament Mode, you can unlock the two additional game modes: Final Battle and Double Team.
