Orca is a new concept in forums developed for Web 2.0 with AJAX technology. One of the most attractive aspects of this forum system lies in its new concept of administration: using Orca, the users themselves can be in charge of running the community. So, managing posts and messages doesn't require you to have an official forum administrator, since a group of users can do it themselves using votes to determine the importance and popularity of each post. The name of this program is very clear and fairly tells us what it can do for us: Outlook on the Desktop allows you to set Outlook features on the desktop and access them easily. Easily access the calendar, contact agenda, inbox, notes and pending tasks. No problem, it's great. Although I have to say that Outlook is not my favorite email client, this add-on for the desktop is a good program for all those users who use Outlook as their email client. The window featured on the desktop is semi-transparent so it gives your desktop a beautiful look and feel by letting you see both the desktop and Outlook information.

Open Skipper is a lite application that features in only one window all navigation data associated to the program (This time we talk about maritime navigation) Its a free application for receiving, processing, displaying and sharing messages generated by boat instruments. The program supports the followning devices: NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 (N2k), AIS and GPS. Furthermore, it can also interpret data from online services that have been previously linked. Open Skipper shows real time weather conditions having to do with wind stregth, wind direction, swell,... Although Open Skipper is focused on certain people, it is a program from sailers to sailers, so its productivity is good enough.

You can integrate Office Tabs on the office software suite Microsoft Office to let you to open various documents at a time and separate them with tabs. This little function makes it easier to navigate between documents, because you don't have to keep switching from file to file using the Windows toolbar. If a good application is open source code, this can happen. Smoe new developers decide to spice it up and create a new application with all that good of the previous programs and new features that make it exciting. OmegaT+ is on of those cases. OmegaT is a good CAT Tool, but OmegaT+ takes that good application to a further step and oofers the user a very good application with a lot of more options and better performance. OmegaT+ interface is divided into panel, so we will have on screen the original and the meta text, glossaries, search tools, online dictionaries and even statistics. OmegaT+ can import and export translation memories, so you can use the ones you created wusing other programs. If you need a Computer Assisted Translation tool, OmegaT+ is probably the best free choice out there.
