The first model of Amiga came out over 20 years ago, in 1985, and was named Amiga 1000. The 256 kilobyte of RAM for this first machine was more than enough for a whole generation, whether they enjoyed games or only watched them. UAE is the real name of this emulator, which was originally developed for UNIX systems. The Windows version was renamed WinUAE. This is an emulator for the hardware of virtually all Amiga models (500, 1000, 1200, 3000, 4000) and its graphics chipset (OCS, ECS, and AGA). WinUAE can emulate different types of RAM (up to 2 megabytes of Chip RAM, 8 megabytes of Fast RAM, 1 megabyte of Slow RAM, and 64 megabytes of Zorro III Fast RAM), four virtual floppy disk drives, four audio channels in stereo, serial ports, parallels, a joystick, and a mouse. But take note! WinUAE does not include the Amiga ROMs needed to start the emulator. To use it, you'll need to find your own.

If you're looking for a good Android emulator for your PC, try LeapDroid. Thanks to its ability to run even recently released games, LeapDroid stands out from other emulators because of its fast emulation experience. To achieve this speed, many of LeapDroid's features are predetermined; for example, you can't change the resolution or any other parameters beyond the elements in the Android settings panel. The app compensates for this dearth of customization options with wildly fast speeds when you play, plus the absence of any kind of configuration process. Simply install it, link the program to your Google account to sync your credentials, and then start playing without limits. For this reason, LeapDroid is also a perfect emulator for anyone who doesn't want to spend hours configuring a program to ensure it's optimized. Whether you don't know how or just want to streamline the process, LeapDroid is a great choice. After all, it's a good program that, like most other apps of its kind, uses a virtual machine in the background. Although it sacrifices some features to offer smooth playback, LeapDroid is nevertheless an emulator well worth checking out. Download it here.

ZX Spectrum was one of the best-known 8-bit consoles in the 80s and early 90s. Now, thanks to Speccy, you can relive the good times you spent playing games from the classic platform –like Fred, The Abbey of Crime, and Mad Mix– on your PC. Speccy can emulate most games for Spectrum in their 48, 128, and 48k versions as well as the more modern +2 and +3 versions. It also supports hardware like printers, mice, and joysticks, and can load files in the following formats: Z80, SNA, TAP, TZX, FDI, TRD, and SCL. The loading speed won't be instant, though, as it's the same speed required by cassette tapes. The program also lets you convert the input signal into a MIDI sequence, making it possible to save your games in digital format to load them again at a later time. This is especially useful if you're reading games directly from the original cassette tapes through an audio input port.

You don't need any special knowledge, as the tool automatically installs everything you need to play itself. In Pokémon UNITE (GameLoop), you can collect many Pokémon whose different roles complement each other. For example, you'll find Pokémon, whose power comes from offensive or defense moves. Before facing rivals in the arena, this is quite an important factor when selecting the five Pokémon that make up your team. Once you get into each battle, you will have to fight to conquer all the rival's areas. Remember never to neglect your bases' defense if you don't want enemy Pokémon to usurp your territory. Use the PC mouse to move the joystick that controls your team members' movements and, at the same time, click the action buttons or create keyboard shortcuts for executing the different attacks and defensive moves. To conquer the bases that make up the setting, you will have to go dunking Pokéballs you collect in these circles. Once the gauges are filled with your color, you'll be one step closer to conquering all the enemy territory. Pokémon UNITE (GameLoop) has an addictive gameplay through which you can test the different Pokémon you unlock. Each Pokémon has different attributes that will be useful for creating the most balanced 5-fighter teams. Rivals will also try to conquer your base, so stay alert to each of their movements and be quick with your own.

Spine: PS4 Emulator is a PlayStation 4 emulator that, despite being in private development, has a demo available, making it possible to test out the compatibility of some of the games on the platform. According to its own developer, it's the first PS4 emulator capable of correctly running mainstream games. However, it's currently only available on Linux. The compatibility list, which as with all emulators, will improve with each new update, shows that around 35% of the games tested with Spine: PS4 Emulator work. However, the fact that they work does not mean that they are perfectly playable. PlayStation 4 emulation is, as they say, still in its infancy, which means that the vast majority of emulated video games that work have different types of glitches, bugs, and other graphical defects. It is important to note that, at the moment, Spine: PS4 Emulator does not even have a graphical interface or the options that many emulator users may be used to. For example, you can't configure the controls as you wish; instead, they're predefined (you can find these on the author's website). Spine: PS4 Emulator is an incredibly promising PlayStation 4 emulator for PC that's already capable of running numerous video games on Linux. Hopefully, in the near future, we'll see releases for Windows or Mac as well, which will bring the emulation of this new generation of consoles to many more computers.

Flycast Dojo is a fork of Flycast, one of the most powerful Sega Dreamcast, Naomi, and Atomiswave emulators available. Its main objective, and what differentiates it from the original Flycast, is that it includes a series of features for online gaming, with a special emphasis on the competitive mode and holding Dreamcast game tournaments online. At the interface level, Flycast Dojo is virtually identical to the original Flycast, with a few subtle differences reflecting the new online gameplay features that have been added. In the main window of the emulator, you'll see a small tab in the upper left corner, from which you can join online games started by other players or start your own. This tab, by default, is in offline mode, but you can change it at any time. Although it's pretty easy to use, Flycast Dojo has a good number of tutorials on its official website so you can get familiar with some of its newer features. In any case, playing online with a friend is as simple as starting a game in Host mode, copying the Match Code, and sharing it with your friend, who can then enter it in the appropriate field when starting the game in Join mode. That's it. Like this, playing any Dreamcast game online is a breeze. In the settings, you'll also find some new features, most of which are oriented to online play. From the Netplay tab, you can modify some of the default options. For example, you can activate or deactivate the chat, which makes it easy to talk to anyone you're playing with. If you prefer not to talk with them, simply deactivate this option. Here, you can also choose your username or your preferred way to connect. Flycast Dojo is an absolutely outstanding Dreamcast emulator. And the reason why is very simple: Flycast Dojo is a fork that improves upon Flycast, which in turn is a fork that improved upon Reicast, one of the best Dreamcast emulators for PC. In other words, it's an emulator created from the best of years and years of development, adding all the features that the community has deemed necessary over that period of time. The result is a lightweight, powerful, easy-to-use software, full of features aimed at helping you enjoy one of the best consoles in history.

touchHLE is an iOS game and app emulator for Windows operating systems that requires no BIOS or special configurations of any kind. The emulator is capable of running apps and video games from iPhone OS 2.x upwards, with new versions of the operating system and new games supported with each new update. Of course, its developers have already warned that the emulator will never be compatible with 64-bit versions of iOS. Using touchHLE is super simple. You must unzip the compressed file in a folder and double-click on the .exe file. And that's it. To be able to play any of the compatible games, you'll need to put them in an .ipa or .app format in the "touchHLE_apps" folder. This is the only way the emulator can recognize the apps, and you can run them by double-clicking on their icons. Alternatively, you can also drag an .ipa file directly to the .exe file. When running any iOS game or app, you should keep touchHLE's compatibility list in mind, which can be found on its official website. If an app is not on the list, it will most likely not work or work poorly. For this reason, testing only those games whose compatibility has been confirmed is recommended. If an error pops up when testing an app on the compatibility list, the problem can likely be solved by closing the Steam or Discord overlay, which often interfere with the program's operation. Download touchHLE and enjoy some of the best early iOS games, many of which are now incompatible with almost all modern devices. On the Internet Archive's own page, you can find many apps and games in .ipa format ready to be downloaded and run smoothly in the emulator. Remember: the only thing you need to do is to save all iOS games and apps inside the "touchHLE_apps" folder.

The GameLoop tool from Tencent lets you run Android games on PC. This installer downloads its own emulator along with the FIFA Mobile: FIFA World Cup (Gameloop) game, letting you play it on Windows by adapting its controls to the mouse and keyboard. You don't need any special knowledge to use it, as the tool automatically installs everything you need to play. FIFA Mobile: FIFA World Cup (Gameloop) is a Windows adaptation of the mobile version of the world's most popular soccer game. This lightweight executable has all the new features of the latest version for Android: with all the graphical improvements, additional game modes, special events, gift card packs and, in short, everything that makes FIFA still the king of soccer games. Of course, FIFA Mobile: FIFA World Cup (Gameloop) is especially focused on its star game mode: Ultimate Team. This game mode consists of opening booster packs and unlocking player cards to create the best team possible, with which you can compete against any online opponent. Every time you log in or play a match, you will be able to obtain packs that you can open instantly to get virtual cards of the best soccer players in the world, such as Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappé, Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski. As with the versions of FIFA 23 for PC or console, in FIFA Mobile: FIFA World Cup (Gameloop) you will find a panel where you can define the tactics and lineups of your Ultimate Team (FUT). From this tactics window, you can see the connection generated by the players in each position on the field, which will depend on what nationality they are and in which teams and leagues they play. In this way, you will be able to choose one player or another depending on the opponent. Another interesting aspect of FIFA Mobile: FIFA World Cup (Gameloop) is the new manager mode. If you opt for this game mode, in each of the matches, you will sit on the bench and face the ninety minutes of the game from the perspective of a manager. This will mean that you will have to define rehearsed plays on the fly or decide on changes to give freshness to your team. From the options menu you can easily adapt the FIFA Mobile: FIFA World Cup (Gameloop) controls. As in previous editions of the Android game, there are several different control modes at your disposal. Each of the different control modes will allow you to obtain a more or less simple and accessible game experience, depending on your level and experience with the franchise. In FIFA Mobile: FIFA World Cup (Gameloop) new official kits and badges of the teams participating in the World Cup have been added. Furthermore, during this new season, you can find the badges of more than thirty national teams. As we have come to expect, the game incorporates FIFPro licensing so that you can identify the faces of soccer players competing in the top leagues in the world. Watch out for the replays, because realism will be more than present, once again, in every celebration.

Kega Fusion is a complete multiplatform emulator capable of running games made for the majority of classic SEGA consoles. It can emulate the Master System (and its predecessors SG-1000 and SG-3000), Game Gear, Megadrive, Mega CD, and Sega 32X. It's more geared toward faithful emulation than speed, although thanks to the power of today's computers, any game from the aforementioned platforms should run perfectly at 60 FPS. It supports practically all ROMs for any of those platforms, including the 32X, which doesn't require bios to work. You can even emulate more complicated games like Virtual Racing, or 3D games that used the complement for Megadrive. All kinds of visualization options are available, including adding filters to simulate that you're playing the game on an old television. Or you can add other plugins to render better graphics to mask the low quality of early games. You can also choose between emulating the PAL or NTSC console, use real CDs in your reader to emulate Mega-CD, and even play online with other players. There's no doubt that this is one of the most comprehensive emulators that you'll be able to find to relive SEGA's glory days on your computer.

Emulator fans tend to have the same problems when trying to catalogue and browse through their tons of folders full of ROMS. EmulationStation is here to solve that messy problem by making things a bit easier when it comes to organizing your emulators. It offers an intuitive, minimalist front end that lets you access all your games and machines from a single interface. It's also got crisp visuals that manage your emulators into a one pack, following salon aesthetics by using a gamepad control system. Compatible with almost a hundred different emulators, it detects each console allowing you to scrap games you already have. What this means to you, is that you can automatically download game cases and related gaming specs from the internet for each title and convert your menu into your own complete database. One thing, though, is that you'll have to remember that the emulators themselves are not included in EmulationStation, so you'll have to link them manually through a configuration file that includes the root folder where you first installed them. Taking this into account, RetroArch would make a fine companion to EmulationStation as an all-in-one that includes several emulators in the same pack. EmulationStation is a great way to keep your whole collection of emulators organized in one place. It's also completely customizable however you wish, so it's always going to look good on your set up. Especially when you play in fullscreen version, whether on your monitor or widescreen television. Actually, it's interface adapts to any resolution, no matter how high.

Flycast is an emulator for both SEGA Dreamcast and Naomi and Atomiswave boards, derived from the mythical Reicast (another classic Dreamcast emulator) that unfortunately ceased to be active in 2020. However, this fork more or less regularly receives updates that improve both compatibility with the extensive SEGA catalog as well as the performance and stability of the emulator itself. Flycast's compatibility list is huge, covering almost all SEGA Dreamcast and Naomi releases, among which are some of the best representatives of some of the most famous sagas in video game history. The formats that you can easily open include CHD, CDI, GDI, and CUE, as well as compressed ZIP, 7Z and DAT files. It's important to remember that among the games not supported by the emulator are all the SEGA NAOMI 2, Hikaru, and SEGA System SP boards. As usual with the issue of BIOS, creating your own backup from any console or board you have at home is ideal, and if you don't know how to do it, you can find many tutorials and files on the Internet. Once you have the BIOS, you just have to put it in the same directory as the emulator and, in a matter of seconds, you can be playing any ROM on your hard disk. Flycast is an excellent Dreamcast emulator that lets you enjoy the vast majority of the catalog of what is, for many, one of the best consoles in history. This is a console that died prematurely without receiving all the love it should have; a console that now, thanks to this emulator, can once again receive love on your PC.
