The Elder Scrolls: Arena is the first installment of one of the most popular role-playing sagas of all time. To steal the soul of your enemy (who is usually your friend, since you'll be playing the game together), you have to kill him first in a fencing match. One little touch with the tip of your rapier and your enemy will go down, soul already stolen. Once you have his soul in your power, you have to take it as quickly as possible to one of the two soul absorption points on the screen. At the same time, your opponent will reappear right at the place where you're trying to take the soul. You'll have to dodge or kill your opponent again in order to get the soul to the right place and get points. You play like this and the first one to get three points wins. Although it seems like a simple gameplay, you'll soon find out that Foiled! has a dynamic that you might not have expected when you first start playing. Sewerjacks is a very odd roguelike where, instead of playing any old adventurer (a warrior, thief, or magician), you'll control a Bloodbowl player (the Warhammer universe's fictional sport) who's fallen from grace and has to make a living in the city's sewers. At the beginning of the adventure, you can pick which type of character you want. You'll have several races to choose from, like human, orc, elf, or dwarf. That said, you won't have traditional classes, but others like 'front row player,' 'pitcher,' etc. Due to your character's nature, during your adventure in the sewers you can do things like kicking objects (as if they were balls) or jumping over creatures and objects (something you can only do with the corresponding skill). The system of rules, while not identical, is inspired by the classic Warhammer game, meaning it will look familiar to anyone who's played a quick round in one of those games of miniatures. Sewerjacks is an RPG that's completely different from what many people are used to. Although it doesn't have very good graphics, it presents a very distinct gaming experience, which is something that's always appreciated.
