The Reconstruction is a traditional turn-based combat role-playing game in which you head up a group of more than a dozen adventurers who form the crew of a pirate ship. The adventure begins on board that ship, but it won't be long before you're exploring to the limits of the outer world. In fact, as you recruit new characters for your group of heroes, you'll start to discover a story that includes everything up to minor gods. The attributes of the characters in your group are not modeled in typical RPG fashion. In place of force, agility, health, magic, etc., you'll be using values such as body, mind, and soul. These are the attributes that can be improved with experience and that, eventually, will help you defeat your most powerful enemies. Combat itself does follow a more traditional style: you'll need to move your units over a grid and give orders so that they can overcome their adversaries, which will typically outnumber your crew. The Reconstruction is a traditional role-playing game with a significant amount of gameplay (more than 20 hours) made with rather outdated graphics. In any case, it's an outstanding title that introduces many intriguing concepts into the RPG genre.

The Kiwi's Tale is a platform game inspired by the classic 80s Taito arcade 'New Zealand Story', in fact it was developed for the 2008 Retro Remakes competition. In the game, you control Nik the Kiwi, a Kiwi and an alien sheep kidnaps all of your Kiwi friends, from then on you'll have to travel through New Zealand (16 levels) to rescue your friends. It's very easy to control, left, right, jump and shoot, that's all, all the flavour of one of the most famous games of the 80s in your new computer. Everything is similar to the original game, although you'll realize that the music is different, and it's much better, including funny sounds of the characters in the game. Many enemies are waiting you on your way to your friends, be careful, fire them and try to rescue your friends. Be careful, if an enemie touch you, you'll die.

The Dungeoning is a roguelike 2D game in which you have to head into a series of randomly-created dungeons and try to pass as many levels as you can before you inevitably die. You will start the game armed with a shield, a sword and a bow. And you will have to use them well. Enemies can kill your hero with just two or three blows, and even a bush (yes, a bush) can be fatal. In addition, as you advance through the dungeons, not only will you face more difficult enemies, but you will also face increasingly more difficult traps. One wrong jump and your character will die, and you will have to start the adventure over from the beginning. During your epic mission, you will find new weapons and objects that can help you on your quest. These include rings and potions that will give you a little boost when you need it the most. The Drop is an attractive roguelike with accessible gameplay that serves as a sort of sequel to 'The Reconstruction' (also available on Uptodown), continuing that game's story and characters. Although in the first game you had to choose between various characters, in The Drop you can also choose to create a character from scratch. You'll choose its race, class, name, and attributes, just like in any roguelike worth its salt. Similarly, you'll need to make an important decision at the beginning of your adventure: do you want to start in normal mode (where your death won't be permanent), or 'hardcore' mode, where dying even once means game over. Gameplay will be familiar for any fan of the genre. The Drop uses turn-based combat, so you can choose to use your turn to move, attack, or use magic. Everything plays out from an intuitive interface that allows you to play most of the game using just three buttons. Visually, The Drop stands out. In fact, its graphics have much improved over the saga's earlier installment - keep an eye out for the lighting effects produced by using magic, they're really beautiful. The Drop is an excellent 'roguelike' with all of the ingredients necessary to satisfy even the genre's most demanding fans. In all, you'll have more than fifty or sixty hours of playing time thanks to its randomized dungeons.

The Deep is an ocean exploration game in which you will go diving in Australian waters, equipped with an oxygen tank, an underwater camera, and little else. The main objective in the game is to take photos of all of the marine animals that cross your path (and there are a lot), as well as finding and collecting samples of all of the interesting things that you find on the ocean floor.
