Polar Electro Oy

2 (502)

Polar is a unique game where you have to show your abilities and reflexes, using just one button. Its creator defines the game as a sort of 'Super Hexagon parody.' The gameplay is very simple. You control a spaceship that automatically moves in circles. It's your job to guide the ship through an asteroid field, coming at you in a series of different patterns. The one and only button lets you change directions and try to dodge the asteroids. The game, which was created in just one week, doesn't actually let you die. This means the only penalty for hitting the asteroids is that you can't move on to the next pattern. If you play well and dodge all the obstacles, the asteroids take on new shapes, becoming more and more complex and psychedelic. Polar is a strange game that has a simple soundtrack and even simpler, but addicting gameplay. If only it offered more of a challenge, like the ability to die, for example, it would be a fantastic game.

Futuridium is a spaceship simulation game where you can guide a pure X-Wing-style spaceship from Star Wars. The only thing that matters in this game are your reflexes, which you'll have to use to destroy certain objects and score the maximum amount of points. You can control the spaceship with the keyboard, with the remote of a video game console, or even with a joystick (the second two options are recommended). The controls are pretty simple: move the spaceship in any direction, make a 360 degree turn to straighten yourself on the path, and shoot. The objective for each level is the same: try to destroy all of the blue blocks in as little time possible, without crashing. It won't be easy. The levels' structure will make surviving a real challenge. What stands out most about Futuridium is its graphics, which include several different options to choose from, and which look spectacular on your screen. That is, if your computer is powerful enough. Futuridium is a spaceship game that is spectacular in every way. You'll really enjoy this simple and addictive game as it tests your reflexes and overwhelms your senses with a spectacular soundtrack and astounding graphics.

Genetos is an shoot 'em up that, rather than including just one gaming experience, takes you through the entire history of ship gaming in a very fun and interactive way. But it's also quite challenging! The first part of the game is very similar to the classic Space Invaders: your ship appears at the bottom of the screen and your enemies will move slowly towards you while you try to shoot them. As you progress, though, you'll find improved graphics, more modern gameplay, and more agile controls: enemies here are more aggressive and you'll have a variety of guns to choose from. It'll be like this until the fourth level, where the game turns into a true bullet hell, full of action and enemies. Genetos is a very fun ship game with dozens of original elements that will take you through the history of a genre that isn't currently at its peak. The journey is still a fun one.

Chompston is a curious mix between two classic games, Pac-Man and Bomberman, where you have to go through a series of mazes with colored dots and ghosts, just like in Pac-Man, leaving bombs along the way, just like in Bomberman. Your goal is to eat all the colored dots in each level while avoiding the ghosts that chase you, which isn't as easy as it sounds. Instead of just one type of ghost, there are three: one that can go through your bombs, another that throws fireballs, and another that runs faster than you. You have to fight through all these challenges throughout the different levels that make up the game. You can also accept optional challenges, like trying to link up the greatest possible number of balls in a row. Chompston is an entertaining arcade game with nice graphics and a gameplay that's easy to learn but difficult to master.

Maximus Action Carnage

Maximus Action Carnage is like having a free to play traditional arcade game inside a modern computer. It's as if the legendary Commando had travelled through time, arcade machine in hand, and crept up inside your computer. The game's story, which in this case is of no real importance, puts us right in the middle of the war between Japan and the United States. The hero Maximus, last surviving member of a squad of American soldiers, has sworn to avenge his former colleagues, and will not hesitate in taking out any Japanese soldiers who get in his way. The game's controls, as with all arcade games of the age, are very simple. With the cursor you move the hero around the screen, always having to move forwards, and with the other two keys you shoot your machine gun and, occasionally, throw grenades that wipe out everything on the screen. Carnage Action Maximus is not a simple or boring game, although neither were the arcade machines of the early nineties. Instead, you get a lot of fun and a real challenge, the game is quite unforgiving and will punish your mistakes ruthlessly. You can also leave your name on the leader board to show off in front of your friends later.

Teleglitch is a roguelike quite different from those you're probably used to in this genre in that gameplay does not happen in turns nor are the graphics created from text. That said, its hellish level of difficulty and the randomness of its scenes will prove its primary identifying features. The game is set in an abandoned military base whose only inhabitants are the main character, armed with a simple pistol and very few bullets, as well as loads of bloodthirsty creatures that won't think twice about flinging themselves at you to kill you. Your aim is to escape from the complex, composed of 10 random levels that will get increasingly difficult. Luckily in Teleglitch you'll have an arsenal of more than 40 weapons or objects to help you get out alive. The best thing about these objects, in fact, is that you can combine to create new weapons. That is, you can create your own defenses with the junk you find on the scene. Teleglitch is a frenetic game combining roleplay with horror and intense action. That said, the game is very hard and might not appeal to all audiences.

Humans Must Answer is a 2D spaceship arcade game developed by people who worked on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R franchise; in it you are in control of a ship called 'The Golden Eagle' which is manned by a crew of very dangerous chickens. The dangerous chickens from outer space find the solar system on one of their interstellar trips only to discover that humans are hostile, so they have no choice but to counter attack with all that they’ve got. This is basically the plot behind the chicken adventures in Humans Must Answer. Gameplay is pretty much the same as in all classic spaceship games. In other words, you basically have to advance through levels that are plagued with enemies as you avoid their shots, destroy obstacles that get in your way, find out a couple of secrets, and slaughter each turn's bosses. As you advance in the game, you can make improvements to your ship. You can even configure the weapons in any way you want, being able to choose the ones you believe are better suited for each level. Humans Must Answer's visuals are pretty spectacular with constant explosions and shootings on your screen at all times. The enemy just keeps appearing in constant streams, and with them comes an amazing show. Humans Must Answer is a very fun spaceship game that blends to perfection all the flavor of the classics, with the look and feel of modern games.

The problem is that, to add more realism to the movie, the zombies are real. So the director drops you off in a park full of zombies, equips you with a pistol, and tells you to kill as many zombies as you can. Meanwhile, the helicopter that dropped you off will follow you, throwing you first aid kits and ammunitions, as well as filming you as you go. Plus, the closer you are to the helicopter’s shadow, the more points you will receive. At the end of the game, when the zombies have finally ended your life, you will receive a report with all of your statistics so you can see how many zombies you killed, how long you lasted, and how many first aid kits you use. And, the best part of it all, you'll be able to read some excerpts of some of the movie's reviews. The game's setup is very simple: your dragon finds himself protecting a tower at the right of the screen, and all kinds of enemies will appear on the left side of the screen trying to get to him. So, your goal will be to incinerate all those who try to get close to the tower, using the fireballs that the dragon can launch. In Realistic Summer Sports Simulation, players can participate (alone or with up to three friends) in some special Olympic Games, where trials are passed in the most ridiculous way possible. At the beginning of the game, each of the players (up to four) selects their nationality. Then it's time for a series of games, like swimming, long jump, archery, equestrian, and weightlifting, all of which you need to play using only your mouse. It's normal to perform extremely poorly in almost all of the events, and that's exactly what makes Realistic Summer Sports Simulation so fun. Your characters movements are absurdly terrible, and it's quite difficult to make any progress. Luckily, Realistic Summer Sports Simulation includes a practice mode in addition to normal play, which will at least help you figure out what you're supposed to do in each event, something that's not always very clear. Realistic Summer Sports Simulation is a really fun game that, although it has nothing to do with sports, is perfect for a good time with the right company. It's an excellent party game for whenever.

Now, the turbo is a double-edged sword: if you crash while you're using it, you're in big trouble.
