Marathon offers a gameplay experience that's very similar to that of these two franchises as far as the concept goes. Bungie released the code for Marathon 2 in 1999, which led to the development of Aleph One, an open-source engine capable of running the Marathon trilogy on modern computers. And this engine, Aleph One, is precisely the one used in this version of the game. It lets you, among other things, play at high resolutions and in widescreen format, as well as customize many other options, both graphic and control. Marathon is an excellent first-person shooter that, for context, came out only a year after the original Doom. The game has a more intricate story, told almost exclusively through a series of terminals spread across the spaceship in which the adventure takes place, but a somewhat slower action. The result, as surprising as it may seem, is closer to the experience that years later Half-Life would provide. Marathon is one of the great SPFs of the 1990s that, despite its great importance in the genre, remains relatively unknown. Fortunately, thanks to this free and open-source version, it is possible to enjoy it on any modern computer, regardless of your operating system.

For example, using the special attacks of Shar-Makai, a terrible worm with teeth, is not at all similar to using those of Ananzi, the daughter of the prince of the 'other world'. Each one has their own hit combinations and specialties. As you might expect from a fighting game, in The Black Heart players can play alone or against a friend on the same computer. The only thing you need is two controllers, or to be willing to squeeze together on the same keyboard. The Black Heart is a truly unique fighting game. From its dark and gloomy atmosphere to its peculiar storyline and visual style and the vast differences between characters, it's clear that we're dealing with a tremendously entertaining game.

To rotate the view, you just have to move the mouse in the direction you want. So if you want to make sure you have a good savings fund, you have to work hard to avoid any crisis situations. In the second, you fight other players who belong to the enemy camp. Visually speaking, Warkeepers is an excellent game with very good character designs and great modeling. Some scenarios are especially detailed, and the constant gunfire and explosions are a plus that make the game even more spectacular. Warkeepers is a huge multiplayer action game that not only has some 10 different maps but also more than 20 characters from 10 countries. Add to that the different game modes, and you've got hours and hours of fun.

You can assign them different tasks depending on the level you’re in at the time: they can dig a tunnel through the setting, jump, build bridges, use baseball bats to attack enemy Lix, etc. Lix can be played in single player mode with the goal of getting all your people to their destination, but it can also be played in multiplayer mode through the Internet or using a LAN network. If you play this mode, besides safeguarding your own Lix, you'll also have to exterminate those of your opponent. Lix is a very fun combination of strategy and puzzle, and it keeps all the magic from the original Lemmings while adding a competitive multiplayer element that works perfectly within the game.

The Old Man and the NSA is a simple 2D arcade game with a very silly premise. In it, you control an old fisherman who finds a box of government secrets while fishing. After this discovery, a stranger tries to help him upload the data to the Internet, while the NSA (National Security Agency) tries to stop him. The game is divided into two parts: in the first, you have to order a computer using your radio and set it up; in the second, you have to defend your computer while it uploads the data you found. In the second part of the game, which is much longer and more fun than the first, you have to use the harpoon launcher to destroy anyone who tries to block your Internet connection and, above all else, the NSA agents trying to destroy your computer. If the agents manage to break your computer, you'll have to start again from the first part of the game. The Old Man and the NSA is a crazy and fun arcade game. Although fairly short (it only takes about five minutes to finish), it's still good mindless entertainment.

I See You is a first-person horror adventure that, unlike the vast majority of games in this genre, doesn't try to scare you through the main character, but instead goes directly for the player sitting in front of the computer, mouse in hand. The backstory is straightforward: you'll be trapped inside a strange abandoned hospital, and have to find the right keys in order to escape. On the way, though, you'll encounter something that won't want you to get away. During the game you'll come across messages aimed at you, the player, that will try to scare and confuse you. Some of them will attack your perceptions directly, to make you more vulnerable. The best part of I See You, in any case, comes when you finally finish, something that shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes. I See You is a first-person horror adventure that will give you more than one good scare. Not recommended for the faint of heart.

Actually physically leaving the bathroom is not really the end of Bathroom, but it is the central part of the game. Once you manage to find the right combination and get the door open, you'll go down the hall and the main room of a mysterious house. And let's just say, it's probably best if each player finds out everything that can happen on their own. Bathroom is a really terrifying horror game, which like all of its kind, is best enjoyed in the dark and with headphones (or with your volume turned all the way up). In short, we're looking at one of those games that, although short, gives you more of a fright. Especially thanks to its excellent soundtrack, which will keep you alert and in constant tension.
