Perhaps one of the most direct and apparent influences of Maldita Castilla is Ghost n' Goblins. In fact, right at the start you will notice certain similarities, with zombies coming out of the ground, and the main character's weapon, which isn't anything more than a javelin that you can throw as many times as you want. In addition to all the action, the game includes some components of a platform game, and at times jumping from one ledge to another with precision will be absolutely necessary to keep advancing. That being said, you'll have to be very careful with the large amount of enemies that will try to kill you. As mentioned at the beginning, graphically Maldita Castilla pays homage to the classics, so much so that in addition to having pixelated graphics, the game has an old monitor filter that never goes away. The soundtrack, composed by Grizor87, also fits perfectly into the action. Maldita Castilla is an outstanding game, created from scratch by the Spaniard Locomalito, and distributed completely free--one of the best in the genre of 2D action and platform games that you can find.

Atomic Tanks is a remake of a classic Scorched Earth that aims to preserve the essence of the original game, although it doesn't manage it easily. The gameplay is practically the same as that of yesteryear: a group of tanks fight for survival in turn-based battles where the last tank standing is the winner. The more units you kill, the more money you can make to buy new equipment. The list of available weapons is really long and includes projectiles of all kinds. Playing Atomic Tanks is really easy. The only thing you need to do is select the angle of the shot, plus the force and the type of weapon you want to use to attack. Keep wind direction in mind, too, so you don't hit yourself with your own projectile.

Clan Caster has sent you to fight this menace and although many of them doubt of your capability because you are a newbie, you think you can fight a problem of such a big size. Mission by mission, you'll have to demonstrate that they didn't fail when they chose you. Run, jump and, of course, fire those creatures trying to kill you and the planet. In every mission you have different goals and you have to reach all of them to complete the missions. You'll enjoy different attacks, different weapons, extreme physical conditions... As long as we pass levels we can power up our character and evolute him. Finally, we have to stand out that although it's not free, it's very cheap -5€- and once you buy the first episode, you'll have bought all the next ones that are about to be released.

I've liked it a lot. Lot of fires, weapons and a terrible quantity of blood will get you involved in the game. Choose if you'll play alone or in multiplayer mode, including the possibility of playing online with other people in a dozen of different maps. Finally, you'll find different game modes, such as the common deathmatch or capture the flag but you'll also find new ones. Try all of them, because it doesn't matter the mode you play, you'll get excited when you'll play it.

The simulation of the scenarios and the weapons is very realistic, the design of the weapons, the damage, precision and the recharge time has been done according to historical data. Choose the game mode you want to play: Duel and assault. In the first one you'll fight in duel versus another gunner and in the second one you'll take part into a classic bank assault. Be careful, the damage caused by the bullets is different depending on the part of the body you fire. Choose a server, connect, choose your team and character and wait till the round start.
