Golden Axe Myths is a remake of Golden Axe, the classic action game for arcades and 16-bit consoles. You can choose from four different characters, each with unique abilities and specific weapons. You can even play with several friends on one single computer. A dwarf, an Amazon, and two warriors are the characters that can take you to glory. Both the gameplay and the enemies are very similar to the original game. You can do normal attacks, jump, use magic, and fight ruffians of all shapes, sizes, and colors. From soldiers with hammers to giants wearing heavy armor ... they're all there. The graphics are quite different on this remake. The character models have a cartoon-like aesthetic that is really well done, but doesn't match the general violence in the game. Golden Axe Myths is a really fun game that offers lots of hours of entertainment, as well as a gameplay that never goes out of fashion.

Deity, according to its developers, is a stealth action game with unique gameplay mechanics, inspired in large part by games like Diablo, Torchlight, and Batman: Arkham Asylum. But what exactly is it all about? In Deity we play the role of a mysterious purple demon deity whose world is being attacked by celestial creatures aiming to wipe out any evil creature with breath left in it. Unfortunately for them, we control this demon, whose powers will let us crush all enemies using stealth and darkness. Because our evil hero is not particularly skilled at direct combat, we have to make full use of his talent for finishing off unexpected enemies from the security of the shadows. The graphics are very well done and are especially impressive when considering that absolutely everything, including the custom engine, was created from zero for this game. The interplay of shadows and light effects is masterfully reproduced, and the character figures, although rather simple, still make the grade. Deity is exceptionally short, and can be easily finished in a single sitting. But the developers' goal was not to create a long experience; rather, they aimed to show off the unique gameplay mechanics without too many flourishes. And in this regard, they achieved their goal. Deity is a treat that ends quickly, but a delicious one through and through.

The Last Phoenix is an action game that employs similar gameplay to those classic arcade flight-simulators. But this time, you're wearing the feathers of the last Phoenix in its fight against other mythological birds. You'll face off against these creatures with the help of your talons and special attacks. Now, although you'll have to confront many enemies, your main object in the game is to restore life and color to the world. So you'll need to complete a series of missions within each level, none of which are very easy thanks to the constant attacks of your foes. The game's levels are quite big and give you a lot of freedom to explore, soaring around the sky, fighting enemies, and discovering secrets. And this is the best part of The Last Phoenix: the freedom of movement that your Phoenix enjoys. You can launch charge attacks that turn your protagonist into a streak of mortal fire, or attack with your talons to destabilize anyone else in the air. There are even special attacks that unleash firestorms capable of burning the scene to a crisp. Graphically, The Last Phoenix is truly impressive. Correct use of the Unreal Engine has made the game attractive, with spectacular animations for the birds, all of which combines to leave you awe-struck, The Last Phoenix is a fun, beautiful game that presents a pretty original concept - maybe somewhere between Okami and Il-2 Sturmovik.

Duke Nukem Forever 2013 is a 'mod' of Duke Nukem 3D (you'll need to have it installed) that'll let you play a very different version of the 'Forever' that went on sale and, as many may remember, was shot down by critics. In this Duke Nukem 3D original conversion you'll be able to enjoy a different story that, apart from having tons of new locations and situations, also comes with several new enemies and non-playable characters that will form part of a plot in which Duke will, of course, have to save the earth yet again. Among the new features included in this mod is the option of seeing non-interactive scenes in which, apart from being told the story, you’ll live movie-like experiences in pure Call of Duty style. The similarities with the Activision game however end here, as Forever 2013 offers live action, without cover or life regeneration. Of Guards and Thieves is a competitive multiplayer action game in which the players are divided into two sides: the robbers and the police. The goal of the robbers will be to steal a valuable artifact from a safe, while the goal of the police will be to stop them. With this approach, the game puts the two teams of up to four players on a fairly closed and dark map. On it, the robbers will have to get to the safe and get out alive; while the police will have to do everything possible to prevent this from happening. Both sides, for added fun, are armed to the gills. The game will allow you to create your own games to play with friends, although you will always need to play online, since there are no bots or computer-controlled enemies. Because of this, if you want to play Of Guards and Thieves, you will need an Internet connection. Of Guards and Thieves is a revision of the legendary playground game 'cops and robbers', with added pistols and graphics in which lights and shadows play a fundamental role. In fact, you can turn on and off all the lights in a scene whenever you like.

FireFall is a MMO third person shooter in which players can take part in amazing mass battles against both an artificial intelligence, and other human players. FireFall's main mode is 'Players Vs Computer', with the artificial intelligence taking on the role of hordes of all types of creatures which will try to finish off your character and the rest of the team. But you'll also find a 'Player Vs Player' (PVP) mode in which you'll put your skills to the test by fighting against other players from all over the world in an attempt to prove who’s better. The most important thing to do before heading off to shoot is, however, to create your character and choose a battleframe for him. This means you'll have to choose a class for your character and improve the different skills you'll get along with it. Recon, Assault, Biotech, Engineer, and Dreadnaught... The battleframes are almost exactly equivalent to the classes which most shooter games typically use. When it comes to graphics, FireFall is a truly great game; its mains source of inspiration seems to have been Borderlands. From its visual finish in general, to the stage and character designs are reminiscent of Gearbox. FireFall is a very fun online shooter in which players can fight side by side with their friends... or fight each other to the death.

Derelict is a tactical first-person action game where you control a squadron of space marines boarding the UTS Atlas intergalactic star cruiser with the objective of rescuing any survivors of a biochemical accident. You will control all of the members of your marine squadron simultaneously, with the ability to alternate from one to another whenever you want. Each member has their own individual special ability, which means that you can use one to launch grenades, while another, for example, never has to recharge. In addition to controlling your marines in first person, you can view a tactical map of the zone where you're located, so that you can give rapid orders to your men. That helps your team move quickly through the ship, without you having to control each member directly. Your men will always shoot when confronted by an enemy, but you have to be very careful about these situations, since a sole marine may not be able to survive an encounter with a dangerous creature. Derelict is a realtime strategy action game that, despite not having great graphics (both the graphics and sound are lacking), offers a unique and quite spectacular playing experience. It's something between horror and science fiction, and that's simply awesome.

Marathon Infinity is the third installment of the popular saga created by Bungie, the developers of the Halo and Destiny franchises. This game was originally released for Mac in 1999, and for Windows five years later. Marathon Infinity continues the story of the previous two games, but adds some plot twists by means of a time paradox. Bungie released the source code for Marathon Infinity in 1999, which lead to the development of Aleph One, an open-source game engine able to run the Marathon Trilogy on modern Mac, Windows, or Linux machines. This version uses the same game engine, which means you can play in high resolution and in widescreen format, as well as customize both the graphics and controls. Marathon Infinity's campaign is even longer than that of the second game, although the places and enemies are very similar. Once again, this game features a new weapon: a small machine gun. While it has a longer and more extensive campaign, it still presents the storyline through terminals that you'll find as you advance through the game. Not only that, but you'll sometimes play in different moments in space and time. Marathon Infinity is an outstanding FPS that looks great, thanks to the Aleph One game engine. Just like the other two installments in the saga, the online mode is still playable, although you'll need to find some other users to play with.

PI.EXE is an action platformer developed by ZenBerry Games that is set within a server operating system. In it, we will control a character who acts as an antivirus and whose goal is to wipe out all the malware present in the shape of different enemies. Depending on the malware, we will have to either kill it or dodge it. The gameplay of this action platformer will allow us to jump by leaning on the walls or move in a certain direction using the attack movement. With these clues, we will have to solve the different obstacles and enemies found in the game. There is only one attack movement, which we can execute in any direction. However, the attack wears out, and if we miss, we will have to wait for it to recharge or press the button to accelerate the charge. But if we kill an enemy using the attack, we won't have to wait for the recharge, and so we will be able to make faster combos. The difficulty will increase as we level up. If we die, we will have to start the level from scratch, so it will be crucial to learn how to gauge our time in order to survive for as long as possible. To complete the levels, we must find the key and go to a door. All in all, PI.EXE is a good option if you are looking for a fun platformer that provides an interesting challenge. Graphically, the game looks very good and consumes very few resources. We can set the resolution to 720p, 1080p, 1440p or 4K, as well as enable the vertical synchronization to avoid any tearing. In addition, it is possible to play it with both a keyboard or a controller.

C-Dogs SDL is a frenetic shooter game in which up to four players can participate simultaneously, both in cooperative mode and in different PvP modes. The game is based on C-Dogs, a free-to-play title developed in the late 1990s for MS-DoS by Ronny Wester, which despite being relatively little known, had a dedicated fan base. In 2002, Ronny released the game code, which allowed a new group of developers to port the game to SDL, making it compatible with modern computers. In C-Dogs SDL you will find more than a dozen different campaigns, many of them with special rules that will change the general gameplay. Most of these campaigns are inspired by a specific video game, as is the case of Doom, which is inspired by the game of the same name, and will allow you to relive this classic from a new perspective. One of the strong points of the game, moreover, is that you will be able to create and import your own campaigns, so you will have access to a virtually infinite assortment of hours of gameplay. All C-Dogs SDL campaigns can be played either solo or in cooperative mode with up to four players. The only mode that you will not be able to play solo is deathmatch. This game mode is reserved for multiplayer games, in which you will have to try to destroy your friends using the entire arsenal of the game: machine guns, shotguns, grenades, Molotov cocktails, chainsaws, and much more. C-Dogs SDL is a very fun action game, which manages to transfer the experience of the mythical run-and-gun of the late eighties and nineties, to modern computers. Thanks to its enormous versatility, you will be able to enjoy the game either alone, or with one, two or three friends on the same PC, or through a local network.
