Commander Wars is an open source turn-based strategy game that tries to translate the experience of playing the legendary Advance Wars saga to computers with Windows. And it achieves its goal with flying colors. This game features gameplay that's practically identical to the gameplay that made the Intelligent Systems saga so popular. You'll find tons of options when you create a new game. Creating a new scenario includes many variables, from randomizing the terrain's layout to choosing the number of opponents controlled by the AI that you'll fight against. So you can play either a 1v1 duel against the AI or a battle against four generals, each of which is represented by a different color. If you've ever played a game in the Advance Wars saga, gameplay in Commander Wars will be familiar to you. Your objective at the beginning of each game is always the same: capture the closest buildings, which will provide you with resources. With these resources, you can recruit more and more troops, which you can use to capture more land while also attacking your enemies. The battles between units also follow the same structure as Advance Wars. The success or failure of your attacks depends on several factors, including the position of your units (for example, if they're on higher ground, they'll be more effective) and their type (for example, mortars are especially effective against tanks). If you can keep all this in mind, you'll improve your chances of winning. Commander Wars is an excellent adaptation of one of the most beloved turn-based strategy sagas. The game is free and open source, supports mods, and features beautiful and colorful graphics which are openly inspired by the saga.

Imperia is a turn-based strategy game that, despite its place in the 4X subgenre (alongside Civilization, Master of Magic, Age of Wonders), makes sure to add an additional X, and in doing so, becomes the first-ever 5X. The '4X' refers to 'eXploring, eXpanding, eXploiting, and eXterminating,' to which Imperia adds 'eXisting.' Why? Well, in Imperia players assume the role of a young intergalactic emperor who not only carries the full weight of humanity on his shoulders but also must deal with some personal issues of his own. Usually in this genre it's the player who controls a omniscient being who can do virtually anything. In Imperia, however, your main character has a limited number of administration points that he'll need to use wisely. Misdirecting your empire will not just destroy it, but might also mean that your character gets assassinated. Political machinations aside, Imperia players will have to manage entire planets. Their inhabitants' wellbeing, technology, agriculture, and culture... all of this depends on the decisions you make. Imperia is a turn-based strategy game with huge potential, and despite having somewhat crude graphics, it has an original concept that really brings something new to the table.

Legends of Runeterra is a collectible card game where you participate in exciting duels against other players. The game is set in the League of Legends universe and you can play with the card versions of legendary champions of the Riot Games MOBA: Garen, Jinx, Twisted Fate, Gangplank, Lux, etc. The way Legends of Runeterra works is similar to other card games like Magic: The Gathering or Hearthstone: Your goal is to reduce the other player's health to zero. To do that, you have to call upon followers, spells and champions with the mana you receive each turn. The main difference between this and other games in the genre is that in Legends of Runeterra you can use cards at any time, during your turn or your opponent's turn. The only thing that changes is the ability to attack your opponent, as each turn one player attacks and the other defends. Another distinctive feature of Legends of Runeterra is that you can save up to three mana points that you have not used at the end of your turn. This mana can only be used on spells, but it allows you to conjure powerful ones much earlier than you would normally be able to. Legends of Runeterra is an excellent card game where you can enjoy playing against players from around the world or against AI. Like any good CCG, you have an endless amount of cards to create the deck you want. Luckily, you also have several predefined decks according to different regions and champions for those who don't want to create their own deck yet. An excellent PvP game that takes the magic of League of Legends to the world of cards.

Rogue Assassin is a game of stealth where players have to control an assassin whose mission is to take out the king. But of course, things don’t run exactly smoothly. The first stage of the grand assassination plan is to let yourself get caught doing something serious enough to be sent to jail. You can choose between setting off bombs, running nude through the streets or attacking the guards, among others. All are enough to get you thrown in the dungeon. Once you’re inside, you have to sneak through the different halls of the dungeon until the king arrives. To do this, you have to keep behind the guards, because if they see you they will kill you. You can use the shadows to hide, and you must take lots of care with your movements. Rogue Assassin has a random level generator... but no final level. This means that you will be trying to reach the king forever, but you will never get to kill him. Despite this, the gameplay is fun enough to make a trip into the dungeon worthwhile.

You've also got spells and special skills that consume mana –basically all the standard stuff for games like this.
