Supercontinent Ltd is a graphic adventure set in a distant future where you play a hacker trying to get information by phone. Your character has access to a revolutionary technology that lets him change his voice whenever he wants, but he needs to use an old landline phone to get the information he's looking for. You have to investigate the office to find clues about whom to call, then use the numeric keypad to manually enter the phone numbers. Once you're on the phone with someone, you have to decide what to say. It's also important to first choose the voice you want to use, since you can only get certain information if you choose the right voice. Supercontinent Ltd is an outstanding graphic adventure with an awesome atmosphere, an entertaining story, and some really original puzzles. Yet another fantastic game from Deconstructeam, developers of the no less brilliant Gods Will Be Watching.

The Mysterious Machine

The Mysterious Disappearance of Mr. Lovecraft is a third-person horror adventure where you can directly control the master of horror, H.P. Lovecraft. In this adventure, your character explores a maze made up of his own nightmares and fears. The gameplay in The Mysterious Disappearance of Mr. Lovecraft is simple: you just have to tap wherever you want to move your character. With a double tap, you can run. That said, your character doesn't exactly shine for his physical abilities, so you can only run for a short period of time. At a certain point in the adventure (practically at the beginning), you can find two special objects that let you play in first person and use a map. The object for playing the adventure in first person (a sort of floating eye) is incredibly useful to give you a better perspective of everything happening around you. The Mysterious Disappearance of Mr. Lovecraft is a 3D graphic adventure that's directly influenced by classics like Alone in the Dark. It's a game with an outstanding atmosphere and graphics that, while not especially great, look awesome thanks to an excellent use of illumination.

Robin is a brief game that lasts about five minutes, which lets users experience a weekend as a person with chronic fatigue syndrome. In this game, you have three days -Friday, Saturday, and Sunday- to try and start your next week on the right foot. The entire game takes place in the home of Robin, a young writer who lives in a small apartment along with her bird and plants. Each day, you have a limited number of actions to complete before you have to sleep, but you can't do them all. So, you'll have to choose. Should your feed your bird? Read a book? Cook a meal? Take a shower? Water the plants? Work? Browse the web for a bit? Pick up your room? Depending on what you do -and don't do- you'll encounter different problems when you go to sleep. And even worse, the problems accumulate, building into a mountain that makes it more and more difficult to complete tasks, especially since your character is already tired. Robin is a very interesting playable experience, where you can learn more about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. On top of all that, it has charming lo-poly graphics and lovely illustrations.

In Search of the Light is an adventure game where you dive into a world submerged in a realm of dark forces where darkness reigns supreme. It's your turn to follow along on the story of an unusual creature out to find a bit of light in this world of shadows. As you might expect, In Search of the Light plunges you into the depths of a monochrome world tainted by hues of grey and black. In order to move your hero around each level, you need to tap on the corresponding arrow keys to move forwards and backwards. And, as per usual, all you have to do is tap the spacebar to land jumps and dodge any obstacles that pop up along the way. Another interesting aspect of In Search of the Light is that its soundtrack is pretty stellar. This game steers clear of trite soundscapes to expand the genre -- making your own original sound effect score as you play. Each step you take produces a unique sequence of sounds to accompany your every move. And, in the upper part of the screen you'll keep count of the number of light orbs you've accrued. In Search of the Light has a unique esthetic to it and controllers that allow you to move around each landscape seamlessly. Making your way around each dark corner to find the last little sliver of light, it's up to you to bring dawn to a dark world haunted by a mysterious darkness.

MetaExpo'92 is a game for PC that will take you back to 1992 to experience, in first person, the Universal Exposition of Seville. This event was a watershed moment in the recent history of Spain, and now you have the opportunity to visit the mythical facilities virtually. Inside MetaExpo'92, you will find very realistic 3D graphics that will allow you to relive the essence of the Expo. It should be noted that during each game, you can modify the camera perspective to adapt what you see through a subjective view if you prefer. It is worth mentioning that MetaExpo'92 has a map that can be used to move from one area of La Cartuja to another at any time. Spectacle is a first-person graphic adventure in pure Shadowgate style, in which players are trapped in a fantasy realm from which they have to escape by any means necessary. The catch? Your only means of survival is your own ingenuity, since your protagonist is otherwise defenseless against the many dangers you'll encounter in this fantasy world. The gameplay of Spectacle will be familiar to anyone who has ever played the aforementioned Shadowgate or Elvira saga games, or even a lesser-known game called Personal Nightmare. At the bottom of the screen, you'll have a list with all the commands you can use, as well as a map for locating yourself quickly. On the other hand, on the right side of the interface, you'll have your inventory and spells, while on the left side, you can see whatever scene is laid out before your protagonist. To interact with any element in the scene, first choose which command you want to use (look, open, pick up...), then tap on the element in question. The most original aspect of Spectacle is that time passes as you move through the different locations in the game, so the sun will set, and one day will change into another. Some of the puzzles in the game can only be solved at certain times of day, so sometimes, to solve a puzzle, you'll not only have to think about how to solve it but also when to solve it. Fortunately, some of the spells you can learn throughout your adventure will help you find the right solutions. Another aspect of Spectacle to keep in mind is that it has a few different procedural elements. In short, this means that some of the puzzles in the game have random variables, so you won't be able to find the exact solutions in any guides. You can look up how to solve the puzzles, but not the exact solutions, since the solutions will vary from game to game. Spectacle is an absolutely outstanding old school adventure game with beautiful visuals, a charming soundtrack, an interesting story, and some very original puzzles. This game will be a real treat for fans of a genre that, unfortunately, has not had much recent representation beyond the Shadowgate remake.

It's still in an early phase of development, but it's available for several different platforms (Windows, Linux, and Mac). Explore all the settings and get items that help you throughout your adventure, such as gold, potions, weapons, etc. You can also talk with the people who live in the town, who give great tips. Go deep into the cave and fight with all types of creatures. Depending on the achievements you get, you can gain experience for Claudius and Laila, who are the two main characters in the story, at least for now. If you win combats, you'll also learn new skills, and increase your health points too.

La villa del seis is a graphical adventure game that follows the lines of the classic games in the genre which already dominated computer screens a decade ago. This time, the game is developed in PHP and DHTML and works using a browser. The La villa del seis plot starts out with a trip to see a meteor shower in La Mussara (Tarragona) which you will never get to see. On your way there, something falls from the sky and you feel the need to investigate where that strange light is coming from. The theme can be classified as psychological horror; it's embellished with somber and mysterious scenes. To play, you'll just need the browser and the mouse. By clicking on the objects on the screen you'll be able to apply all the commands you want on them, or you can write them out to play in conversational adventure mode. To move you'll have the 4 cardinal points, and a map which will serve as a guide when you are stuck in the middle of resolving the mystery.

You play using point&click, that means you'll do all actions using the mouse: talk, catch items, use them,... Gray Matter is one of the best Point&Click games of the decade. If you like the genre, this is a must have.

The Adventures of Fatman is a classic graphic adventure where you play the odd superhero Fatman (a Batman parody), who has to save his city from the threat of a new supervillain. Throughout your new adventure, you'll visit more than 40 different locations, where you have to pick up objects and use them to interact with elements in the setting or talk to the other characters. (In other words, everything you'd do in a classic 90s graphic adventure.) That said, just in case you're a newcomer to the genre, the game includes two difficulty modes: one for beginners and another for experts. In the first you can get clues and hints to make the adventure easier going. The Adventures of Fatman is an entertaining game that, despite being pretty short (you can finish it in a few hours), has an interesting enough story to make it worthwhile.

That is, if you want to make it home. The Marionette is an intriguing graphic adventure that, in addition to being completely free, has an excellent story line that's worth discovering.

Hacker Evolution Duality is about Brian Spencer a brilliant programmer who became a hacker and used his knowledge to put the brakes on artificial intelligence, something he had played a part in creating. In the game, while the story is being told, you have to get to be able to pass several security systems that range from a simple firewall, in which you have to pirate someone's computer, to more serious ones that protect data bases of banks. The graphic interface, which can be hard to get used to, gives you an intentionally complicated environment in which you feel like a hacker while you are breaking through security systems and more. Hacker Evolution Duality is a very special game because you have to be good at English, patient and like stories about information systems pirates in order to enjoy it.

Tick Tock Isle is a 2D adventure platformer where you play Strike, a young engineer sent to the past by accident who now has to go back to his own time by fixing the machine he traveled in. The gameplay is pretty simple. You can do things like picking up objects and using them by moving the cursor, and use the arrow keys to move your character from left to right and jump. You can also use the mouse to access your inventory, from which you can use any item you have previously picked up. The graphics in Tick Tock Isle are really charming, with pixelated designs reminiscent of 16-bit games. The map is designed with a lot of attention to detail, creating a truly immersive experience. Tick Tock Isle is a fun and charming game. Its gameplay, as well as the storyline, makes it perfect for any kind of audience. That said, fans of time travel will probably enjoy it even more.

The Cat Lady

The Cat Lady is a horror graphic adventure from the creator of the equally terrifying adventure Downfall. In it, the player controls a woman in her early forties who, without friends or family, finds herself suicidal. Nevertheless, certain events will transpire to change this situation. The game mechanics are faithful to classic graphic adventures, with simple controls and puzzles to put the player's intelligence to the test. You'll need to use your head if you want the protagonist to survive a string of events that will give you goosebumps. The Cat Lady isn't for everyone. Not only are there scenes with a lot of gore and blood, but it also hits on some rather adult themes that might be too intense for a younger audience. The graphics, while not particularly extraordinary, nevertheless have a unique style that goes well with the scary subject of the game. The Cat Lady is an interesting horror graphic adventure game, a story of intrigue where the supernatural and the earthly combine to create a unique experience.

Zelda Classic is a remake of the original Zelda for NES, perfectly adapted for modern operating systems, allowing you to enjoy all the magic of The Legend of Zelda on your computer. The game comes with many new features and improvements in regards to the original version, which you can access simply via the launcher that comes included. You can adjust the resolution, the type of graphics, the window color, in addition to many other options. Also, a really awesome feature that Zelda Classic comes with is a map and campaign editor, which allows you to create your own Zelda levels, and even change the graphics. Putting these details aside, Zelda Classic is exactly what you would expect it to be: the original game, with the original story line and gameplay, but designed so you can play it on your keyboard by just double clicking the shortcut on your desktop. Zelda Classic is currently one of the greatest ways to play the original game from the saga. It is truly indispensable for videogame enthusiasts, and will make the nostalgic fall in love, and allow those who didn't experience it in their youth discover completely new worlds.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is a graphical adventure game from Lucas Arts, in which the player takes the role of Indiana Jones and has to relive the classic story of 'Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark'. It has identical graphics and interface to those we saw back in the day in 'Indiana Jones and Atlantis'. The gameplay is simliar to all the other 'point and click' adventures. That is, you have to collect objects and use them in the right places, talking to characters for clues, and so on. This version of the game, which is still unfinished, only includes the jungle and temple from in the beginning of the film. So you can relive those moments as often as you like, but once you finish them, it´s game over. Graphically, Raiders of the Lost Ark is stuck firmly in the nineties, but has some quite beautiful and detailed backdrops, along with some very good character models. Raiders of the Lost Ark is a retro graphic adventure, and has all the ingredients to become a must have title. It doesn´t have the sense of humor of the classic Lucas titles, but it does have some very good ideas that are well executed.

The King of the Wood

The King of the Wood is a first-person adventure game set in a futuristic world where cyborgs live alongside humans. In it you play a detective charged with capturing renegade cyborgs. Your mission, revealed at the very start of the adventure, consists of going to a mansion where a cyborg has taken possession of the body and life of a human. Thus you'll grab your gun and your car and head to the mansion, prepared to complete your mission. Of course, The King of the Wood isn't just a walk in the park. In the mansion, you'll find different puzzles to solve and even some robots to shoot at, and in the end it's up to you to decide what to do once you've found your objective. Visually, The King of the Wood is quite impressive. Even without flashy graphics, the game's simple polygonal models and good use of light give it a great look. The King of the Wood is a really interesting interactive experience. It's not a typical game that you'd consider especially fun, but it does offer 'something different' that you can experience in less than 15 or 20 minutes.
