Reversion is a traditional point-and-click graphic adventure where you play a man who wakes up in a Buenos Aires hospital after having been in a coma for 20 years. The main problem your protagonist will find himself in upon waking up is that everything he knew from his time has changed. It's the year 2035 and the city is in ruins and governed by a paramilitary force that terrorizes the few inhabitants left in the city. The game's adventure, however, isn't complete. This is because it's the first part of a three-episode series where you'll have to try and discover what's happened and how you can solve it ... if there even is a solution. The game's graphics are similar to certain traditional cartoon movies, with a detailed but fun design. Even if it doesn't present anything especially new, the results are very well done. Reversion is an entertaining graphic adventure that revives the flavor of traditional adventures from the 90s and offers an intriguing story with some fun characters.

Published in 1994, Dreamweb is a graphic adventure where you play as Ryan, an average worker living in a large futuristic city who begins to be troubled by strange dreams. In these dreams, a strange person asks Ryan to destroy the seven evils, which are incarnated in seven people. And that's where your anti-hero's violent adventure begins - a graphic adventure for adults where dying is not only possible, but actually very common. Gameplay allows you to perform the same sorts of actions you would in a similar game: you can pick up objects, use them, talk to other characters, etc. The main change is that the game is played from an overhead perspective as opposed to the classic third-person view. Dreamweb is an interesting graphic adventure that still plays well despite its age. It's true that it can get a little difficult, but overall it's worth the effort.

Haunt is an adventure game based on the popular legend of 'slender man', in which you have to survive an unexpected adventure through the country. The reason is that, without really knowing why, you wake up in a strange forest in the middle of the night, with only the help of a flashlight. From this moment, your only objective will be to survive the constant harassment of 'slender man', a terrifying, relentless figure that will kill you if it ever catches you. The mechanics of the games is, well, very simple in theory but not so simple in practice. From a first person perspective you have to escape your terrifying enemy. You will run through forest, abandoned houses, and even more sinister sites, trying to escape. On a graphics level, Haunt is a spectacular game. Despite it being an independent and free title, it has some very detailed scenarios and some light-effects that at times will play tricks on you. Haunt is a terror immersion game that is free, visually stunning, and one that can last a while. It also has enough replay value that you can enjoy it many times over.

Ascension is a horror game along the same lines of Resident Evil (but in two dimensions) in which you play Atticus, a security guard of a strange complex, that chooses the worst day possible to take his sick daughter to work with him. Not long after starting the day, something strange occurs and his daughter disappears. From this moment on, your goal will be to find her by all necessary means, with mainly the help of your flashlight, your cleverness, and above all, your courage. The whole adventure takes place in very dark, two dimension scenes, always using the unseen to convey fear and tension, in the place of being more explicit. So, because of this, in Ascension you will walk carefully instead of breaking into each room and shooting everything that moves. Ascension is a very good adventure and horror game. Its graphics are entirely composed of exquisitely made pixels, which fit perfectly with the game environment, and the gameplay is terrifyingly fun.

Shifter

Shifter is a graphic adventure in which your aim is to escape the town of Aberdan, where your character is being held. To get out of town, you'll have to speak with different characters who live there, like a small boy playing marbles on a corner, a bum who at night sleeps close to where the boy plays during the day, and the very guards who prevent you from leaving through the town's entrance. In addition to speaking, you can pick up objects, use them, and give them to other characters, which is necessary if you want to advance in the story. The conversations, however, are Shifter's strong point, since they not only occupy most of your time but are also the game's most interesting aspect. Shifter is a very fun short adventure (it lasts less than half an hour) that has delightful graphics and a bunch of characters that you'll have a good time with.

Limits and Demonstrations is a sort of interactive experience where players take a walk around a little circular modern art museum where a series of artworks by Lula Chamberlain are being exhibited. Your mission is simply to visit the different works on exhibit and comment on them with your female character's two friends. The comments you make regarding the works will change your companions' comments, but beyond that they won't have much of an impact. The most interesting thing in Limits and Demonstration is that it serves as a demonstration, visually above all, of what Kentucky Route Zero can offer. And what is Kentucky Route Zero? The game, commercial this time around, developed by the same indie studio. Limits and Demonstrations is a very pleasant visual experience. Although it doesn't convey all the sensations that one might desire, the result is still rather thought-provoking.

Anodyne is an action, platform, and adventure game with gameplay and aesthetics similar to the Zelda saga. In it you play a young man who ventures through a series of abstract 160x160 pixel rooms that evoke different states of the human mind. In these rooms you'll have to fight many different enemies (including bosses), solve puzzles, or overcome obstacles. To do so you have to count on your own ability and some other surprises that you'll find on your adventure. At the artistic level, Anodyne is an excellent game. The graphics, as mentioned above, are reminiscent of Zelda: A Link to the Past in a very gratifying way (although they actually resemble practically any Super Nintendo game). The soundtrack, for its part, is very evocative and has some remarkable pieces. Anodyne is a very interesting adventure game that, besides being fun and including an addictive gameplay, has an gripping story full of hidden details for more curious players to discover.

Dream of the Blood Moon is a first-person horror adventure that takes inspiration from the video games based in 'Slender Man' and then goes a step further, presenting not only a more in-depth story and a new creature to flee from, but also tons of other improvements on all levels. To start, Dream of the Blood Moon is based in the Unreal Engine 3, so it has technical polish and spectacular graphics, which in itself is especially notable for a free game. Technical details aside, Dream of the Blood Moon tells a story that is much more elaborate than you may expect from a horror game, and even involves some interactions with other characters in the game. Another thing that makes the game interesting is that you don't just have to flee from a mysterious entity that is hunting you - you also have to solve a series of puzzles that will put your cleverness to the test. Dream of the Blood Moon is a horror adventure that does truly bring the horror. The story and puzzles are great, but it's the game's atmosphere, combined with its spectacular visuals, that make it an experience that you'll have a hard time forgetting.

Robo Quest is a short graphic adventure with characters reminiscent of those in the excellent game Machinarium. This game, though, has an entirely different story and a completely different look. And it's also a much shorter game, when all is said and done. The gameplay is very simple: you control a little robot who's been invited to a party and has to get there on time. The problem is that he's been caught and has to escape in order to make it to the party. As usual in adventure games, your little robot has to solve a series of puzzles and interact with certain characters in order to achieve his goal. And it's all framed by a short story that takes just about 15 minutes to finish. Robo Quest is a simple graphic adventure in every respect, and while it's pretty short and easy, it has delightful graphics and a handful of really entertaining moments.

Basically, you'll need to use your head and think a little before you act. UNGA needs MUMBA is a short but very entertaining graphic adventure that, despite not having an amazing story line or charismatic characters, has a lot of fun to offer.

9 Months In is a traditional point and click graphic adventure. You play a prison inmate who's nine months pregnant (with a belly to prove it) and has been falsely accused of murdering her cellmate. As you advance in the game, you find out the woman was originally sent to prison for another murder, which she claims she didn't commit. All the clues she has point to a murderer who uses poison to make it look like the victims suffocated. It's her job to prove it. Both the graphics and the gameplay in 9 Months In are similar to the classic graphic adventures of the 90's. You can pick up objects, talk with different characters, and move 'freely' throughout the prison. 9 Months In is a unique graphic adventure with simple but attractive graphics. Not all video games let you play as a woman who is nine months pregnant and, in this game, it turns out to be a great experience.

Patchwork is a gorgeous graphic adventure where you control two different characters: a modern scientist exploring the possibility of travelling between different dimensions and a wizard's apprentice from an unknown race that will cross paths with the scientist. Each will have different objects in their inventories. For instance, the scientist will have a mobile phone in his pocket, whereas the wizard will have a series of gadgets with powers to help him carry out different tasks. Patchwork's gameplay is similar to other traditional graphic adventures: you control the characters with the mouse, being able to observe and pick up objects or talk with other characters. Despite having a lovely storyline, Patchwork truly stands out for its graphics. The design and the animations are so flawless that most of the time you won't be able to tell it apart from an animated movie. Even though it's quite short, Patchwork is still a high-quality graphic adventure, which is surprising when you consider that it was developed by just one person.

House Death is a game about... dying... and your character will die a lot. As soon as you start playing the game, you'll see that House Death isn't a normal game - for starters, its soundtrack is performed by the author of the game, humming. The next sign that all is not normal here is that practically anything you do with your character winds up killing him. Try to do something with a rock: dead. Try to touch a barrel: dead. Try to touch a tree trunk: dead. Try to walk where you shouldn't: dead. The third and last clue that you're playing a special game is found in the death screen, which shows a series of blinking images in an attempt to bother you as much as possible, along with some accompanying music. House Death is as frustrating as it is entertaining. It may often seem unfair, but in exchange you get some truly funny situations. To really enjoy it, we recommend playing it together with a friend or two.

The Rail is a traditional point-and-click graphic adventure set in a future where the only way to get resources to the cities is using high-speed trains that move through merciless deserts. The protagonist of the adventure is the supervisor of one of these trains. During one of the routine trips, he sees a spaceship land on the roof of the train. A highjacker with bad intentions then lowers herself onto the train. The highjacker's plan is to crash the train, along with the main character and the spaceship loaded with explosives, into the center of the city. The task of your impromptu hero will be, as you might imagine, to escape such a situation. To succeed, you have to do the things typically done in graphic adventures: pick up objects, use them, and, basically, solve puzzles to advance in the story. The Rail is a very entertaining graphic adventure that, although it's rather short, delivers a very interesting story and an excellent setting. Also, it takes up very little space and has graphics similar to the legendary adventures of the 90s.

Tiny White Stones is a very special adventure in third person, which must be played cooperatively with the help of a stranger or a friend, through the Internet or a local network. The story of the game will place the player and his partner in the role of two siblings (a boy and a girl), who must cross an enchanted forest to get home safely. And the task, as you will soon see, is not exactly easy. The main problem in Tiny White Stones is that the two players only have one life. This means that if either player dies during the adventure, both will have to start it from the beginning, and there are many dangers. Sometimes, the boy can see elements of the scenario that the girl cannot, so he can take her by the hand and lead her on the right path, while at other times, it will be just the opposite. At times, it will also be necessary for both to embrace, and when they do that, it automatically creates a barrier around them, protecting them from being attacked by the enemies. Some enemies, by the way, will become quite a hassle in certain parts of the forest. Tiny White Stones is a cooperative, magical adventure. It is as if an independent development studio had put 'ICO' and 'Hansel and Gretel' in a blender, and created a completely new story.

Sintel The Game is a third-person adventure game with some puzzle and action elements in which players must step into the shoes of Sintel, a young woman who is searching for a dragon she befriended during her childhood. However, this quest will not exactly be an easy one. Although Sintel The Game is a complete game in its own right (though it is in an early stage of development), in order to understand the game you have to remember that it was inspired directly by the film Sintel. This is an animated film that was created by the Blender Foundation, using only the Blender tool. The game takes the characters and storyline from the film, and uses them to show some events that were not seen in the movie. During them, Sintel must solve a series of different puzzles and travel through different landscapes, such as a cave or a desert. Just as with the film, all of the elements in the game have been developed using Blender. Sintel The Game is a rather curious game. Its main appeal comes from the fact that, like the movie, it was developed entirely using Blender. It also has decent graphics and some interesting new ideas.

6 Days A Sacrifice is the fourth and last graphic adventure of The Chzo Mythos saga that will throw you into a supernatural horror story. In this game, the protagonist isn't Trilby, but rather Theo DaCabe, a building inspector who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The story is set in between the first adventure (5 Days a Stranger) and the second (7 Days a Skeptic), in the year 2189. 6 Days A Sacrifice brings back the traditional point and click system where players use only the mouse to pick up objects, look at things, talk to other characters, etc. Even though this video game has a futuristic setting, the most important element in 6 Days A Sacrifice (like in the preceding games) is the supernatural horror surrounding everything. Get ready for some terrifying scenes. 6 Days A Sacrifice is a traditional graphic horror adventure that, like the other Chzo Mythos games, offers a great story. It's the best ending you could imagine for the Mitos de Chzo saga.

Tale of Maledict is an adventure platform game. In it, you control a brave young man who decides to go to the woods in search of his missing father, armed with just a stick. The game unfolds in a series of two-dimensional scenarios which you'll have to explore. At first, you can only explore the forest, but as the story progresses, you'll discover new locations underground and indoors. To play, you just have to jump from platform to platform, killing your enemies with your stick. Of course, from time to time, you'll also have to talk with other characters who can help you reach the end of the story. Tale of Maledict is, visually speaking, an impressive game. It's full of contrast, and the protagonist always stands out against the dark backgrounds. While the graphics are very nice, however, the animations are a little rough. The jumping motion, for example, leaves a lot to be desired. Tale of Maledict is a remarkable game, and although it's a little short, the story is interesting. Likewise, although the animations are pretty rough, the game is gorgeous overall.

Even today many consider it one of the best games of all time, and this has led to the development of new versions like this one, which works perfectly on modern operating systems. The game, a rather atypical adventure, occurs during a seven-day period in which your hero, Guillermo de Occam, has to enter an abbey in the south of Italy to try to solve a series of murders that have filled all the abbey's residents with dismay. Your job as you control Guillermo de Occam, then, is to solve the crimes by investigating the abbey and doing everything you must in order to do it. That said, if the abbot finds you outside your cell at night or you miss too many masses... you'll be kicked out of the monastery and the game will be over. La Abadía del Crimen is one of the most popular Spanish video games in history, and with good reason. It's a splendid adventure that has been rebuilt for the occasion with graphics that are even more delightful than the original's.

Super Product Line is a two-dimensional horror game with an 8-bit aesthetic that recalls survival horror classics like Resident Evil, all in the style of old Nintendo Entertainment System games. Super Product Line also has some humorous elements that make it totally unique. At the beginning of the game, you choose between two different characters that have pretty different characteristics. Naturally, the things that set them apart are quite absurd, for example one of the characters thinks that the music group A-HA is overrated, while the other would spend tons of money at the hair salon. Whoever you choose, your adventure starts in the same place: the basement of an office building. Your mission is to escape alive, which won't be all that easy, thanks to a series of creatures roaming the halls that will end your life pretty quickly if you give them a chance. Super Product Line is more an adventure game than an action game, since you'll need to use your head to solve all of the complicated situations you'll find yourself in, and manipulate different objects together to get specific results.

Nothing Else is a horror adventure in which you control a youth that is home alone at night, and decides to read a good book in bed before going to sleep. What you don't realize, however, is you will find yourself in a nightmare world where strange things happen. The game has very simple controls, since all the scenarios are in two dimensions and you only can move left or right on the screen. On occasions, though, you can use the mouse to interact with different scene elements and solve puzzles. The best part of Nothing Else, in any case, is not so much the puzzles that it has, but the story and the message it tries to convey. If you persist and arrive at the end of the story, which last about fifteen minutes, you will discover the terrible secret hidden behind a story that is far more frightening than it looks. Nothing Else is an exciting and intriguing adventure game, which makes up for the absence of complex puzzles, and has a story that will grab you and does not let go until the end.

Darkness Exhumed is a 2D survival sandbox game in which you start out with your hero completely naked in the middle of the woods and surrounded by zombies, you'll now have to try to survive in any way you can. Fortunately for players your protagonist is able to create different structures using all kinds of blocks. You can use stone or wood blocks to create a fort and try to keep the zombies at bay, although you will, of course, have to confront them. The game randomly creates all kinds of scenes and enemies, so you'll never play the same game twice. Plus, if your protagonist dies you'll have to start from the beginning again. Fortunately you’ll have tons of possibilities to try to stay alive. Darkness Exhumed is a very fun game that is filled with possibilities, it lets you create bases, set traps, illuminate dark areas on the map, and face off different bosses... among other things.

A Tale of Two Kingdoms is a graphic adventure along the lines of classics from LucasArts or Sierra that wraps you up in an epic tale full of puzzles, magic, and crazy conversations. In A Tale of Two Kingdoms, you play Maeldun, one of the members of the court of the Theylinn kingdom. But there are problems everywhere: outside, an enemy army is approaching the castle gates, and inside some of the nobles are not particularly happy with the heir to the throne. As if this weren't enough, hidden at the border of Theylinn is the mysterious realm Thierna na Oge, a place where fairies live and where, thanks to fate, you will end up, too. A Tale of Two Kingdoms is a relatively open game that also includes several side quests. You will see one of five endings depending on the choices you make. A Tale of Two Kingdoms is a typical graphic adventure with both a traditional gameplay and traditional graphics. The best part is that there are enough in-game decisions that you can play it more than once.

Masterspace is a sandbox game with a very similar concept to that of Minecraft: that is, complete freedom in a destructible world that you can modify as you like. Nevertheless, where Minecraft has an "epic-medieval" setting, Masterspace opts for pure science fiction. The basic actions in Masterspace are very simple: use a pick or shovel to modify the terrain or do the same thing with stacks of dynamite to save time. Likewise, killing animals (or other life-forms) is as simple as putting your cursor on them and holding down the button. Nevertheless, where you start to see that Masterspace offers something different is when you try to create devices with the resources you've obtained. You'll be able to construct everything from classic houses or workbenches (though rather more futuristic versions of them) to teleports or spaceships. The spaceships, in addition, are not simply for showing off. With them, you can travel to other planets and colonize them. Once you've discovered several other planets, you'll be able, for example, to connect them with marketplaces to obtain more resources. Masterspace is a game that expands the original concept of Minecraft and adds a layer of outstanding science fiction. All this with very powerful graphics, courtesy of the Ogre Engine.

Euthanasia is a first-person shooter in which you play Shaun Randall, a former soldier who suffers a fatal car accident and loses the use of his legs. Because of this, Randall attempts suicide. After the first suicide attempt, he is admitted to a psychiatric institution where a doctor performs euthanasia on him. The problem is that after this assisted suicide... Randall begins a new and radically different life. Upon waking, he is able to walk again, and you must move around a kind of sanatorium full of nightmarish creatures trying to take your new life. Luckily, to defend yourself, you have a good arsenal of weaponry, ranging from a simple machete to a shotgun, via a pistol. Shooting your new found enemies, however, is not the only part of the game. Solving puzzles and trying to find out what is going on is also a vital part of the experience, giving you plenty of surprises along the way. Euthanasia is a first person action-adventure game, in which, despite the weaponry at your disposal, you will get plenty of frights thanks to its truly terrifying atmosphere.

Teamwork makes it easier not just to collect resources, something vital for the development of your characters, but also to explore remote planets. The freedom you'll have when creating your spaceship is limitless. You can add as many propellants as you want, as well as defensive turrets, laser guns, and more. The ship of your dreams can become a reality in Reactor Heart, as long as you are ready to spend some time bringing it to life. Reactor Heart is a game that is full of possibilities, and although at the moment the game is in its early stages of development, it's quite promising.

WorldCrafter is a multiplayer sandbox in which you'll be able to create and destroy practically any of the world's features. In order to survive, you'll need to collect resources, craft different tools, build structures, and fight your enemies. The gameplay is very similar to Minecraft, since you'll have to chop at different materials to acquire resources hidden in the world's blocks. What makes it different than Minecraft is that in WorldCrafter you won't see any ridged blocks, but, instead, the world will be made up of smoother pixels. WorldCrafter gives you the freedom to climb mountains and build your towers and buildings on top of the world, if you want. You can also carve out tunnels and dig holes that are hundreds of feet deep! Basically, the world is at your disposal. WorldCrafter is an intriguing sandbox in which you'll have the freedom to do whatever comes to mind. You can also fight off enemies in the simple combat system and build pretty much anything you can come up with.

Love Sniper is a visual novel in which players take on the role of Heiji Akagi, a young high school student who is in love with the beautiful Ageha Shirogane, whom he wishes he could confess his love to once and for all...and hope that it is mutual, of course. The game's story takes an unexpected turn when, after reading the letter in which Heiji confesses his love, a fun cupid appears to give him advice on what to do. It's now up to the player to help the lead character one way or another. Gameplay is very simple: you'll have to read the dialogues and make decisions based on what you want Heiji to do. There are no right or wrong decisions, only what you want to do. In fact, Love Sniper comes with over a dozen different endings which you can reach depending on the decision you make. Love Sniper is a fun visual novel with great graphics that will be especially appealing to fans of anime because of its aesthetics and its fun love story.

Postmortem is a totally unique graphic adventure where you assume the role of an emissary of death whose must claim one life during the night. Your goal: kill whoever you want in a mansion where there's a big party. With this background, you can roam the mansion watching people interact and looking for clues to see who you should choose. You can even talk to the characters as you try to make up your mind. Postmortem doesn't get much more complicated than this in terms of gameplay. Instead, it forces you to make a difficult moral decision: to choose who dies. For this reason, your mission is usually to try to find out 'who deserves it most' or which consequences will be least disastrous. Postmortem is a strange but original and unique game. The only issue is that it has a lot of text (in English) and is sometimes not as entertaining as it would like to be. Some characters are interesting, but others not so much.
