If you decide to play independently, you must know that the AI hasn't been already developed, so the enemies just wait to be eliminated by your troops. You can play OpenFracas versus up to six players, humans or controlled by the PC, individually or in teams. What's more, unlike other 'tower defence' games, in Beware Planet Earth! you must manually control a ray gun to get through the levels. Beware Planet Earth! is a fun game that seamlessly blends action with strategy to provide a distinctive experience, helped by some spectacular graphics.

Panzar is a multiplayer action game (with slight touches of strategy and role), which will allow various players to come face to face through Internet in spectacular duels set in a medieval fantasy universe where humans, orcs, dwarves and a mysterious race of witches are at constant war. Following the general guidelines of this genre, the players will have the possibility to choose between different types of characters, being able to choose two amongst each of the races. The most spectacular and surprising bit of Panzar, however, has nothing to do with the way battles are fought PvP, which is quite traditional, but with its graphic section. The game uses the CryEngine 3 engine (the same as Crysis 3) and consequently, offers a spectacular graphic finish very superior to many commercial games. Panzar is an online duel game, which thanks to a simple mechanic oriented to pure action and a spectacular graphic section, has the potential to hook users looking for a direct and entertaining experience.

Zero-K is an open source, free real time strategy game originally based on Total Annihilation (and its spiritual successor Supreme Commander) that branched out little by little until it became the real time strategy standard that it is today. Most confrontations in Zero-K will last for about a half-hour, with your objective being to finish off the rest of the bands out there (both human and artificial intelligence) so that you have total control of the map. You'll start each game with just one unit: the commander. From there, you'll need to collect resources (metal and energy) so that you can construct a series of factories to build all kinds of new units. There are more than fifty types in all, with land robots, ships, airplanes, and more. Zero-K includes various playing modes. There's the typical melee mode where you'll face off against other users over the Internet, as well as 'Chikens' mode, and the persistent world of 'Planet Wars'. Both are great and get you a lot of extra mileage out of the game. Zero-K is one of the best games out there in terms of real time strategy. Project FPTD is a first person tower defense game in which the players have to make sure that different waves of mutant animals don't escape your attacks. To do so, not only will you have to place different types of towers in their path, but also use your machine gun. The players can build different types of towers. Giant machine guns, bombers, flame throwers, and others will help you keep the animals in line. However, in order to construct them you will have to spend the money that you get killing those very mutant animals. As often is the case in tower defense games, your enemies will come in waves. At first, there will be simple waves of mutant pigs or cows, but it won't take long to see how they create defensive shields or work together to make things more difficult. Even though Project FPTD players can control one of the turrets directly, you can also move freely around the map, shooting your machine gun at all of your enemies. Project FPTD is a good combination of the FPS and Tower Defense genres, which offers a crazy approach and a very fun gameplay. In addition, it has great graphics.

Chess Rush is openly inspired by the excellent 'Dota Auto Chess' — as well as a slew of other similar chess games. Here, you face off in epic strategic chess battles in real-time. Your aim? Defeat wave after wave of enemy raids until you've thrashed each of your successive opponents and gain a highly coveted spot on the game's online scoreboard. Combat systems in Chess Rush are far simpler than what initially meets the eye. In fact, Chess Rush is divided up into two distinct phases. First, you must purchase new units and situate them strategically on the battlefield — chess board. From there, the second phase consists of essentially, just watching as the combat in each match unfolds. Depending on the result of these clashes (most won't last much longer than a couple seconds) you get a larger bounty of coins, or not. Use those coins to access new troops or build on the ones you already have. From there, you start out in a new round of chess battles. The higher your score at the end of each round, the more likely it is that you'll win the match. In Chess Rush there are a whopping 50 different characters to choose from. Each of them has particular attributes and special attack skills for you to summon from them at precisely the right time to your best strategic advantage. Many, if not all, of your troops' attack skills allow you to synergize your moves with a specific character. Meaning, you need to mix up exactly the right combo in order to win the hardest battles. Another important element to keep in mind is that if you arrange to get three of the same class of heroes, you can fuse them together to create a more powerful unit. Chess Rush for Windows is the Android version of the game, integrated into the Tencent emulator. That's not to say that the game doesn't also have outstanding visuals and works perfectly on mid-range PCs. All in all, this title is another excellent game for you to play for hours and hours.

King of Dragon Pass is a role-playing, strategy, management and adventure game set in Glorantha (the world of HeroQuest and RuneQuest), where you have to guide your clan on the good path, whether that means crushing all of your enemies or simply peacefully surviving. The game is divided in several parts with distinct mechanics. For example, you'll pass a bit of time managing relations between your clan and neighboring clans, which can be done through a series of pretty intuitive menus where you can choose exactly what you want to do. However, it will also be common that you'll go through events that you'll have to resolve with classic games of "choose your own adventure": choosing the option that you consider correct from a series of possibilities. The best part of the game, of course, is the enormous quantity of background behind the story that it tells, which if your English is good enough will amaze you. As you can see from the images, the game doesn't have traditionally "outstanding graphics", but that everything is made up of static illustrations. The style used, of course, is not only quite good, but it also perfectly fits with the feel of the game. King of Dragon Pass is a great game that is independently capable of giving you hours and hours of fun. Of course, you will need a good knowledge of English and a lot of patience to enjoy it, as it is not a very accessible game.

Play it from beginning to end, plunging into the the game's backstory, and of course, measuring your strategy skills against artificial intelligence.
