Reprisal is a real-time strategy game that pays homage to certain aspects of the brilliant Populous by Peter Molyneux. In it, you'll have to lead your tribe of little pixelated people to victory. As you probably guessed, this means that other little tribes will have to perish. The way you control your tribe is through indirect orders. You can command various actions, but your tribe will ultimately do whatever they want. For example, you can order your citizens to be hostile so that they'll attack the other tribes they come across ... but you can't tell them to attack a specific enemy. Besides the different orders you can give, you can also alter the territory, creating forests, mountains, or bridges to connect different points on the map. Visually Reprisal is a lovely game, and everything is very carefully designed. If you love pixel art, this game is great eye candy. Reprisal is a fun strategy game. Behind its simple interface and relatively limited options is a wealth of complexity waiting to be discovered.

Frozen Masquerade is a two-dimensional fighting game where up to four human players can face off simultaneously. However, you will need enough gamepads (preferably from Xbox 360). The game's combat system is rather unusual, since it uses a game mechanics that lets you regain life by parrying and wounding your opponents. As a result, Frozen Masquerade allows spectacular comebacks when you have very little life left, which is particularly gratifying when there are several players. Visually, Frozen Masquerade is a spectacular game. The eight playable characters are exquisitely designed, and the six different settings in which you can fight are gorgeous. Everything is perfectly drawn by hand, with spectacular animations. Frozen Masquerade is a very fun fighting game whose only downside is that it's exclusively multiplayer, so you can't play alone. You need at least one friend to enjoy this addictive combat system.

You need to kill your enemies and the way to do it is to slice them using your blade. The way we control the character is a bit strange. USe the arrows to move it and numbers to attack. Of course, if you combine them, it will do combos and new movements and attacks. Although graphics are not new style ones, Blade can be a good choice to have fun sliding enemies.

In Deity we play the role of a mysterious purple demon deity whose world is being attacked by celestial creatures aiming to wipe out any evil creature with breath left in it. Unfortunately for them, we control this demon, whose powers will let us crush all enemies using stealth and darkness. Because our evil hero is not particularly skilled at direct combat, we have to make full use of his talent for finishing off unexpected enemies from the security of the shadows. The graphics are very well done and are especially impressive when considering that absolutely everything, including the custom engine, was created from zero for this game. The interplay of shadows and light effects is masterfully reproduced, and the character figures, although rather simple, still make the grade. Deity is exceptionally short, and can be easily finished in a single sitting. But the developers' goal was not to create a long experience; rather, they aimed to show off the unique gameplay mechanics without too many flourishes. And in this regard, they achieved their goal. Deity is a treat that ends quickly, but a delicious one through and through.
